距离最后的考试只有近两个月的时间，最后的冲刺序幕正式拉开。英语复习到这个阶段，最重要的就是作文。要想在最后的考试成绩中脱颖而出，现阶段就必须要把精力放在分值占在30分的写作上。
考研英语中大作文的要求是内容切题、表达清楚、文字连贯、句式多变和语言规范。小作文考察点在信息点的覆盖、语言的准确性、文章组织的连贯性上。
其中小作文占10分，分为求职信、祝贺信、道歉信、询问信、推荐信、感谢信、邀请信、辞职信等等二十多种应用文。每个类别都有相对固定的语言模式，都有固定词语要求。
询问信是希望获取信息的信件，分为三个部分：1. 说明自己的计划或目的，也就是询问信息的原因；2. 征询具体信息；3. 期待回复并表示感谢。
写作“三步走”：
引言部分自我介绍并讲明询问目的→发展部分是询问的主要内容→最后期待回复并表示感谢。
注意：
为了让对方一目了然，也便于回答，在内容的安排上应该简明扼要，可以用数字列出具体问题，如first, second, third or 1、2、3。
由于询问有可能给对方带来麻烦，所以语言应简洁、清晰、无歧义。语气礼貌、恳切。

1、英文求职信应注意的格式问题
英文求职信的主要内容和中文求职信基本一致，但在格式方面与中文求职信还是有所区别的。这主要表现在：
（1）信封的写法
在绝大多数情况下，外企在华的分支机构或分公司都会在招聘广告中给出中文地址，毕竟入乡随俗，也可以避免邮递员因为看不懂外语而投递
困难。在这种情况下，你只需按我国的习惯书写信封就可以了，只是人名方面须要注意。如果广告上写的联系人是中文，那么就直写“××先
生收”、“××女士收”好了；但如果联系人的名字是英文，你千万不要擅自把它译为中文，哪怕这个名字看起来很普遍、很熟悉，如“James
”不要写成“詹姆士”，“Smith”不要写成“史密斯”。
另外一种情况，如果外企给的是英文地址，那信封的写法就应遵循英美的习惯。一般的写法是：在信封的左上角（中文信封邮政编码的地方）
写的是发件人的名字和地址，在信封中间的地方写的是收件人的名字和地址。收发双方的地址都要按照由小及大的顺序排列，依次是：第一行
写房屋号、门牌号码、街道或路名，第二行写市（县）、省名，第三行写国家名称。需要注意的是，寄往国外的求职信都要加上“中国”字样
