英语读书报告范文

There is no standard form for a book report. However, every book report should contain the following four parts:

1.     Identification. Give the title and author’s name. If the book is one with which your readers may not be familiar, identify it further. Give the name of the publisher, the place and year of publication, the price, and the number of pages.

2.     Classification. A word or phrase early in your report helps the reader keep in mind the type of book on which you are reporting; mystery, biography, humor, adventure, and so on. Your reader can then mentally compare it with similar books he has read.

英文读书报告写作知识

The Book report

Book reports may be required by teachers who want to know whether their students have read the books assigned and how well they understand those books. If they are not required, students may as well write one or two for themselves, for writing book reports helps students to improve their reading comprehension and their ability to analyze and evaluate books. Moreover, it is very good written practice.

The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt

A Book Report on Charlotte’s Web

Introduction: Charlotte's Web is a children's novel by American author E. B. White, The book was first published in 1952, with illustrations by Garth Williams. Publishers Weekly listed the book as the best-selling children's paperback of all time as of 2000. Body: The novel tells the story of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a barn spider named Charlotte. When Wilbur is in danger of being slaughtered by the farmer, Charlotte writes messages praising Wilbur (such as "Some Pig") in her web in order to persuade the farmer to let him live. Thanks to Charlotte's efforts, and with the assistance of the gluttonous rat Templeton, Wilbur not only lives, but goes to the county fair with Charlotte and wins a prize. Having reached the end of her natural lifespan, Charlotte dies at the fair. Wilbur repays Charlotte by bringing home with him the sac of eggs (her "magnum opus") she had laid at the fair before dying. When Charlotte's eggs hatch at Zuckerman's farm, most of them leave to make their own lives elsewhere, except for three: Joy, Aranea, and Nellie, who remain there as friends to Wilbur; but none of them can replace Charlotte. Conclusion: “But it’s unfair,” cried Fern. “The pig couldn’t help being born small, could it? If I had been very small at birth, would you have killed me? ” The talk impressed me a lot when I was reading the book. It is indeed true that every life should be respected because all men are created equal, so are the animals. I think that the true star of the novel is Charlotte, a character people will never forget. The stories she told Wilbur, the lullaby she sang for him and the miracle words she waved in her webs for Wilbur, everything she did touch every reader. There are tow scenes about Charlotte that impress me most. One is the scene of the meeting about choosing the right word to be waved in the web among all the animals, and the other one is the scene that when Charlotte waved the word “TERRIFIC”, she talked to herself, as though to cheer herself on. She helped Wilbur for all her life, but she asks nothing for back. All things she did show a kind of self-sacrifice. How kind and lovely the spider was! Some people say that friendship is something hard to believe, to find and to follow. But see Charlotte, Wilbur and their happy life in a small barn, helping each other without asking for reward means friendship.
