Water is very important in our life. We drink it every day and use it to cook and wash things. We can not live without water. If there were no water, the earth we live on would be a dead one. There would be no trees, no crops, no animals and no people. So water is considered to be next to oxygen in importance.

Although nearly three quarters of the earth's surface is covered with water, it is sea water and undrinkable. The demand for water is increasing, while water resources are scarce. Agricultural production aneeds enormous amounts of water, so does industry. Besides With the growing of the populaiton and the polution of rivers and lakes, it is now becoming more and more difficult for us to have access to drinking water. The shortage of drinking water has becoming a serious problem in many parts of our country. As a student, we should save water in our everyday life so as to reduce the effect of the drinking water shortage. Saving water should be the responsibility of every student. Then what can we do in our daily life to save water?

He was an Irish writer and poet. After writing in different forms throughout the 1880s, he became one of London's most popular playwrights in the early 1890s. He was an advocates of philosophy of aestheticism.

Wilde was born in a wealthy family and became fluent in French and German early in life. At university Wilde proved himself to be an outstanding classicist, first at Dublin, then at Oxford. He became known for his involvement in the rising philosophy of aestheticism. After university, Wilde moved to London into fashionable cultural and social circles. As a spokesman for aestheticism, he tried his hand at various literary activities. Known for his biting wit, magnificent dress, and glittering conversation, Wilde became one of the best-known personalities of his day.

An Introduction To Merryland Theme Park

The Theme Park , a project with the largest investment of Merryland’s first-phase construction , covers an area of 60 hectares . In the park there are 7 theme areas : China Kingdom , Wild West , Plxel’s magic forest , Pirate Village , South Percific , Europe and Madala Garden , all the costumes , beverage , sights and shows and recreational facilities in each area are related to its own theme .Thus the Theme Park is an amusement site creating stimulated atmospheres of different phases of time and space to provide tourist with fantastic joy and fun . Daily report ——小环节,大成效

一、前言

新课标下的英第课堂教学从重语言知识的传授转向语言能力的培养。随着英语课程改革的深入,初中英语课堂教学也更关注学生的情感需求和自主学习能力的培养。教师的课堂教学内容与学生的生活联系更加紧密,教师在教学中也更重视对学生提取信息和处理信息能力的培养,关注学生分析问题、解决问题能力的培养。经过长期的探索和实践,笔者在英语课堂教学中创新设计Daily Report活动,为培养学生的上述能力搭建了有效的平台。

Daily Report是在英语课堂教学的前三至五分钟,一般由一名学生向全班同学做小报告,接着学生就报告的内容进行提问,最后教师作简单小结这样一个活动。这小小的环节为学生搭建了一个展示自我、共同分享的平台,是英语课堂教学中的润滑剂,为加强师生、生生之间的情感交流,促进情感沟通,对激发学生的英语学习兴趣、增强学生的学科信心起到了良好的作用。学生为了做好Daily Report,通过网络、报刊等各种渠道搜集信息和资料,在阅读的过程中更好地了解了英语语言的特点以及英美国家的文化风俗。在此基础上,汇报学生还要把搜集到的材料进行归纳、整理,并用自己的语言组织文字、表达思想,还要请教教师、修改文字,这一过程使学生的写作能力得到了锻炼。同时,其他学生认真倾听,听音和辨音的能力都得到了训练。互动问答环节为学生创设了真实的英语情境,不仅是学生训练语言表达的机会,也是学生纠正、规范英语语言表达,互相学习英语语言的好时机。Daily Report在英语课堂教学中发挥着巨大的作用。

篇六 :丰富Daily Report的形式

丰富Daily Report的形式,拓展其内容。

Daily Report可根据话题、学生特点、年级特点等采取自由谈话式、话题演讲、课本剧表演、诗歌朗诵、人物介绍、幽默故事、学习方法介绍等多种形式。也可根据每周4节英语课分别设置4个话题,如:谈天说地(Anything to talk about)、百味人生(Stories of life)、开心一刻(An enjoyable moment)和校园内外(Inside and outside the school).这样能保证每天都有新话题,每天都有新知识,从而更好地保持学生学习的热情。

Daily Report可谈论的内容也相当广泛,教师要引导学生拓展Daily Report的内容(包括广度和深度)。起始阶段可让学生用自己的话复述前一课学习的内容,或介绍一些与所学内容有关的故事、笑话等。如在初一学生学完Halloween这一节**后,先可让学生复述其有关内容,然后再让学生查资料准备中国有关传统节**的内容,第二天英语课上作Daily Report。有的课时(语法课等)如没有相关话题,可让学生讲一则学校新闻或生活中发生的一件事。

另外,教师可将电视中一些备受关注的新闻引入课堂,作为Daily Report的内容。如在5月12**四川的汶川发生8.0级大地震后,笔者就要求学生回家后通过电视、网络、报纸等方式收集有关信息,第二天汇报。第二天英语课上学生不仅描述了地震发生的地区、情景、伤亡情况,而且还描述了救援行动的开展,全国各地对灾区的援助等。在汇报后笔者趁机联系初二正学的Charities,介绍一些慈善机构,如红十字会、联合国儿童基金会等,以及这些慈善机构在本次救灾中所做的大量贡献,让学生有了真实的感受。最后的提问:What should we do when an earthquake happens? 更让学生学到了一些防震知识。本次Daily Report开展过程中学生纷纷踊跃发言,课堂气氛活跃,取得了很好的效果。

新制定的《英语课程标准》把“激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略,发展自主学习的能力和合作精神”放在了首位。Daily Report 犹如唱响在英语课堂的一首序曲,对激发学生学习英语的兴趣,提高学生的课堂参与热情,培养学生听说读写的技能大有裨益,深受老师和学生的喜爱。本文结合笔者的教学实践,针对daily report在具体实施过程中出现的问题,谈谈如何在初中英语课堂中将其有效实施。

一、Daily Report 在英语课堂中的作用

1.激发学生学习兴趣

Daily Report是在英语课堂教学的前三至五分钟内,由一名(可几名)学生向全班所做的值日报告。它虽然只是英语课堂教学中一个小小的环节,但它对激发学生的学习兴趣和积极性,培养学生的听、说、读、写能力从而提高教学效果起着很大的作用。Daily Report能激发学生的学习兴趣和积极性。孔子说过:“知之者不如好知者,好知者不如乐知者。”这里的“乐”就是兴趣。其实,“兴趣是最好的老师。”学生一旦对英语产生了兴趣,就会自觉主动地参与各种英语学习活动,并从中获得乐趣。学生只有对英语课程感兴趣,才能变“要我学”为“我要学”,从而取得好的成绩。
