英文论文引言的写作技巧Introduction

学术论文中的引言(Introduction)是对全文内容和结构的总体勾画。引言尽管不像摘要那样有一定的篇幅限制和相对固定的格式,但在内容和结构模式上也有需要遵循的规律。本章首先介绍这些规律,然后探讨需要掌握的语言技巧。

引言的内容与结构布局

引言的主要任务是向读者勾勒出全文的基本内容和轮廓。它可以包括以下五项内容中的全部或其中几项:

介绍某研究领域的背景、意义、发展状况、目前的水平等;

对相关领域的文献进行回顾和综述,包括前人的研究成果,已经解决的问题,并适当加以评价或比较;

指出前人尚未解决的问题,留下的技术空白,也可以提出新问题、解决这些新问题的新方法、新思路,从而引出自己研究课题的动机与意义;

说明自己研究课题的目的;

概括论文的主要内容,或勾勒其大体轮廓。

如何合理安排以上这些内容,将它们有条有理地给读者描绘清楚,并非容易之事。经验告诉我们,引言其实是全文最难写的—部分。这是因为作者对有关学科领域的熟悉程度,作者的知识是渊博、还是贫乏,研究的意义何在、价值如何等问题,都在引言的字里行间得以充分体现。

作为一名应用物理专业的学生,量子力学等与物理相关的课程是都是学生必修的重要基础课、学位课程,它对培养物理专业人才的素质有着极其重要的影响。经过了将近一个月的学习,我们与Brik老师一起在物理世界的学习与探索也已告一段落,我在老师的课堂上学到了很多东西。对于外教课我个人是比较欣赏的,我认为这样的课十分有意义,即使有时候听不懂,不太理解老师讲课的内容,但听老师讲课也是一种享受,我们还可以借此锻炼自身的听力和口语水平,这也是学习了。老师会跟我们介绍他的国家文化,开拓我们的视野;并且外教老师上课十分有感染力,可以很好的引导学生主动提问与自主学习。其实这门课程如果开设得更早或者多开设几次效果应该也是很不错的,对于学生很有启发意义,在很大程度上能够激励学生学习物理的积极性。

先来说说我在物理方面的一些学习感受吧,从大二选择物理专业到现在大三快要结束了,我与应用物理这个专业接触了差不多两年的时间,我总结出了了部分心得。我认为想要学好物理,掌握方法是十分有必要的,我们需要从以下几个方面着手:

1.注重理解新概念与新内容

从教学内容和要求看,物理学习到了大学阶段上了一个新的台阶。客观地讲,这个台阶的梯度不能算小。这就形成了物理难学难懂的现实。物理专业学生学习的内容不是中学内容的重复或简单的扩展,而是在概念上深化、理论上提高,螺旋式上升。有许多新概念出现,如角动量、热学中的“熵”、量子化、能带等。既学习质点的运动,又研究多粒子体系。用爱因斯坦相对论的时空观代替了牛顿的绝对时空观。量子理论取代了能量连续的看法。从宏观到微观,从低速到高速,从经典到近代,对这些新概念、新内容的学习,从一开始就要给予充分的理解和足够的重视。学习过程,实际上就是智慧能力的发展过程。问题要一个一个的解决,知识要一点一点的积累。不能让问题积累,否则越学越难,因为什么都记不听不懂,对于物理学习产生厌烦心理,形成恶性循环,最终学无所成,白白荒废了时光。

Abstract

The aim of this research is, through a general comparison between learners’ corpora and NSs’ corpora, to probe into the characteristics of Chinese EFL learners with regard to their use of linking adverbials in writing and speaking, and give an impersonal description about the non-nativeness that the learners demonstrate in the use of linking adverbials. It is found that Chinese EFL learners have shown an overall overusing tendency in using linking adverbials in their speaking and writing. The results have shown that the factors which contributing to Chinese EFL learners’ use of linking adverbials are multifold, such as mother tongue transfer, pedagogical instructions, stylistic awareness, semantic understanding, and pragmatic considerations. Noticing in SLA

Abstract

This article focuses on the role of “noticing” and “noticing the gap” in second language acquisition. It is argued that this notion has gained wide support on the basis of intuition and assumption rather than on the findings of appropriate and exhaustive empirical research. The aim of this paper is twofold: a) to consider the theoretical constructs that underlie the role of noticing, and b) to assess the validity of the assumption that noticing enhances language acquisition. This paper concludes that 1) empirical research has yet to validate the role of noticing in language acquisition, 2) an alternative view offered by Truscott (1998), which suggests that noticing is merely tied to the acquisition of metalinguistic knowledge, is worthy of investigation, and 3) future research into the relationship between training learners to notice linguistic forms and the acquisition of metalinguistic knowledge may enhance our understanding of noticing in second language acquisition.

Abstract: Nida, a famous translator, says, "For truly successful translation, it is much more important to familiarize two cultures than master two languages, because words are assigned meanings in its particular cultures."(Background information) This is to say, translation is closely related with not only languages but also cultures. Studies of the cultural distinction in idiom translation are still relatively weak in the field of translation in China. Exclusive research on the translation of Chinese and English idioms is still incomplete. In the last twenty years, idiom translation has mostly emphasized the level of inter-lingual communication, but cultural differences were rarely involved in it.(Identify problem) This thesis analyses the cultural differences in Chinese and English idioms, then studies English-Chinese\Chinese-English idiom translation methods(Research subject) from the angle of culture(Method) and points out some warnings concerning idiom translation: pay attention to context and choose the right version in line with the style and meaning of the original passage(Results); culture is a whole way of life, when new culture emerges, new idioms also appear, therefore idiom translation should develop with the time.(Conclusion)
