请柬（Invitation）
所谓正式社交书信是使用于隆重的社交活动的信件，亦即请柬，如在教堂中举行婚礼的请柬、大型宴会的请柬、舞会请柬等。请柬是邀请亲友的书面通知，措辞要恰当，并有一定的格式。正式请柬要用优质白色的双摺卡。正面用雕版精印。卡纸可用平面的。请柬和复函都用第三人称来写。格式用美观而不规则的缩行形式排列在一页内。姓名要全部写出来。时间如星期几、日期、月份和地点均须写明。正式请柬亦可手写，但整个页面的安排须完全仿照印刷请柬的形式。
晚宴、舞会等请柬用“request the pleasure (or honor) of your company”来邀请。在教堂结婚，邀请出席婚礼用“request the honor of your presence” ，中文的意思是“敬请出席”或“恭请光临”

请柬分和两种，非正式其实就是一种便条。多用于亲戚朋友之间。正式的请柬有一定的书写格式，主要用于比较隆重的拘泥于礼仪的场合，如婚礼、葬礼、宴会、舞会、招待会、展览会等正式场合。
一、正式请柬没有称呼用语和结束语，都包括在正文之中；
二、正式请柬一般用第三人称，被邀者也多用第三人称，间或也有用第二人称的；

四、格式如下：
1. 文头：INVITATION CARD
