At present, there are still some people who are wedded to the belief（坚信） that high diploma equals to high ability and profound knowledge. For example, the number of people attending the enrollment examination(入学考试) of graduate study has been increasing greatly. As a matter of fact, high diploma can not have a final say in one’s competence. There are a dozen of reasons behind this argument.

For one thing, competence is a comprehensive（综合的） combination of schooling, experience and flexibility, and diploma is only validation of the education one is supposed to receive.
