Youth

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust . Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

FLYING YOUTH, MASTER OUR FUTURE

Distinguished judgers, teachers, dear friends

Hello, everybody! I am very glad to stand here and share with you my most sincere speech ‘Flying youth, master our future!’

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. It is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life. Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease.Youth, is the most beautiful season in life, as spring, giving birth to the early life, forecasting a warm summer, a golden autumn and declaring a thorough white winter.

Let the fire of youth burn eternally , let the life flash across the sky, let young dreams have no terminal! I appreciate the words in The Fire of Youth, and has been using it to motivate my learning, working and life. Youth should be burning instead of decaying! Dear friends present, what’s your choice?

Let us in a sunny day, singing happily; In the days of flowering, swimming in the sea of knowledge; Even many difficulties might be ahead, we will persevere. We should become brave sailors, riding over the waves, to seek for a brighter future. Let us grasp every day of life, sail toward the other shore of success.

Do not sad for the fallen leaves, as the same to the spring rain; No longer not mind in to swing back the sun of summer, make the winter snow to decorate its veil itself.For this attitude,we should walk every step of the youth firmly,not to regret. As a poet who is Samuel Ullman said,”Years may wrinkle the skin, so as to lose enthusiasm, also can wrinkle the soul, let life lose passion.”When we abandon the confusion, master the direction, then the exciting music of youth will be played on!

As youth is so precious, of course, we must treasure it .Don’t let the limited time pass by, leaving nothing significant to our future. It’s necessary for us to prepare ourselves well for the future to come. So we should orient the direction of our future, finally stick to our dream and keep going towards it.
