A test of spoken English will be included as an optional component of the College English Test (CET). Different people have different views on it. Some prefer to have such a test. Others tend to decline any kind of test of spoken English. As to me, I agree with the first statement.

Of course, a test of spoken English is very difficult to handle and the test time is not long enough to fully display participants’ ability to spoken in English. For example, if a candidate draws a topic which he of she is not familiar with, it’s hard to show his or her command of spoken English.
