Welcome to the "Guangxi Nongken Cup "Foreign Language Speech Contest in Communication of 20th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations

To start with, we'd like to briefly introduce the whole process of the competition.

During May, 210 students have participated in this competition, of those, more than 99 took part in the semi-final and today we have 20 outstanding speakers to compete in the final round.

At first, with great honor, we'd like to introduce the guests at present.

Let me introduce the rules of today's contest. According to the performance of every contestant, 7 scores will be given by our 7 judges, the full mark is 100.

The final score is the average excluding one of the highest and one of the lowest scores.

英：Now, I’ll tell you something about this competition in general. Every contestant should introduce themselves first, and then they can give a half proposition speech. Our judges will ask some questions basing on the speech and our contestants are required to answer the questions in a few minutes. Next there will have an interesting game called “Do as I say” through which contestants can show their talent in English. The judges will judge every contestant and give them a reasonable grade which will affect the contestant’s rank.

中：现在，由我来给大家介绍一下比赛的规则。每位选手首先进行自我介绍然后进行半命题的演讲，演讲结束后我们的评委会根据选手的演讲提出问题，选手要临场回答评委的问题。接下来的环节是一个有趣的游戏叫做“按我说的做”，在游戏的同时选手的英语才艺将得到体现。在整个过程中评委将给每位选手打出一个合理的分数，根据分数评出最后的名次。
