Recently, I have just read a novel named After Twenty Years which is written by O Henry. It mainly described two young men, Bob and Jimmy, going in for their fortune and destiny after a parting 20 years before. They promised to meet in the same restaurant 20 years later and they did meet in the end. However, the things changed completely: Jimmy is an officer now who is chasing after a wanted criminal who is Bob.

After reading this novel, I have these thoughts. For one thing, one can change under certain environment with the time

goes by. Twenty years ago, Bob and Jimmy were both young teenagers with a big dream. But things went differently after 20 years. It is the environment that changes Bob. Therefore, to make

ourselves grow better, we’d better go to a good environment.

For anther thing, A person should find out what does he really want to owe and go to the right direction. A good goal is half of the success. If you go in the wrong direction, you will not be a successful person even though you have paid much of you efforts.

What makes me most feel sorry for them is that they stand in the opposite in the end because they used to be very good friends. It was such a pity that they went to different ways. But the friendship still

exists and that is what Jimmy said to Bob: Bob: I was at the appointed place on time. When you struck the match to light your cigar I saw it was the face of the man

wanted in Chicago. Somehow I couldn't do it myself, so I went around and got a plain clothes man to do the job. JIMMY." I wished their friendship!

读后感

爱默生说：“责任具有至高无上的价值，它是一种伟大的品格，在所有价值中它处于最高的位置。”

你也许会觉得责任是一个触不可及、高不可攀的事，其实不然，它就在我们身边，随处可见。如发现身边的杂物，主动弯下腰捡起来；上班前发现宿舍电脑或灯未关，做到关闭所有门窗电器再走；这些在我们日常工作中看似“鸡毛蒜皮”的小事，往往却能杜绝一些安全事故的发生，消除隐患存在的空间。切实履行责任，尽心尽责地对待工作，才能完美展现自身的能力与价值。所以我要说“三分能力七分责任”！下面就从三个方面谈谈我的读后感。

一、热爱工作是责任的前提

《做人崇尚孝善仁，做事摆正权责利》这本书中也说到，每一名员工都应该尝试热爱自己的工作，即使这份工作不太尽如人意，也要竭尽所能去转变、去热爱它，并凭借这种热爱去激发潜力、塑造自我。在“心 怀梦想，坚定信念”的事实上，一个人对自己的工作越热爱，工作越负责，工作效率就越高。这时你会发现工作不再是一件苦差事，而是变成了一种乐趣。

为什么不能试着去热爱自己的工作呢，换一种态度对待生活，换一种态度对待工作，你就会发现这份工作也有许多不曾留意的优点。

二、为工作竭尽所能是责任的最好体现

作为一名普通的铁路工作者，在铁路工作中所起到的作用就是铁轨上的一颗钉子，我们所担负的责任牵扯到公司的发展、个人的发展，必须重视，我们的一次责任心缺失，小者损失一点经济、延误一时的工作进度，大者能造成整条铁路工作停滞甚至影响到整个公司的利益和工作进度；加强责任意识，我们要常思工作尽责了没有，管理规范了没有，领导的要求的落实了没有，要把心思放在工作上，要把问题消灭在萌芽中，时刻以高标准的责任心和严细实的工作作风来履行自己的职责。

我们所从事的铁路工作是一份费心费力费时的工作，既不会有叱咤风云的气势，也不会有可歌可泣的故事，有的是日复一日的辛苦，有的是无数表格及流程的琐碎。我们身边的很多同事扔下了繁杂的家务，忙碌在这平凡而枯燥的工作中。他们在奉献中熔铸责任，在奉献中熔铸忠诚！所以，为工作竭尽所能是责任的最好体现。

三、勇于承担是责任的最好的诠释

既然已从事了这样一份职业，被安排在一个岗位，就不能仅仅只享受工作带来的益处和快乐，而是必须接受它的全部，即使是屈辱和责骂，那也是这项工作不可或缺的一部分。所以，我们要做的就是在工作中不找借口，勇于负责。工作中难免会遇到这样那样的问题，当遇到问题和困难的时候，要主动去寻找方法解决，而不是找借口回避责任。要坚信方法总比问题多！
