Summary:

As Ms BingXin once said“Childhood is not only the dream of reality but also the reality of dream,is a tearful smile when we

recall it ”,childhood is really peaceful and beautiful that we should enrich it.However, that isnot enough:there are still many children living a poor life,as a student being in college,we should pay more attention to them. What is more,we should learn from the boy and his father in the film:Even if you are in the prison, you can choose to live a happy life and never give up. Those are our thoughts.

The content of our conversation:

M:Hello,Frances,you look so happy.

F:Yeah,Mary,this afternoon I watched a film,it really touched me.

M:Touched you?You must be kidding ,I can hardly imagine there should be something that can touch you.

F:Er......,you are laughing at me again,I amnot a piece of wood! :Haha,I thought you have forgot this. So,tell me which film has such power that can touch you, that is really a rare thing.

F:Beautiful Life,a moving story which is directed by Roberto Benigni. This story is of a boy and his father, being trapped in the Nazi prison during the second world war and living a miseable but happy life.

M:So you feel sorry to them?

F:Yes,they just remind me of my childhood and how lucky I was.

M:Your childhood?I have never heard you talk about it,is it very insteresting?

F:Sure it is!I can never forget the peaceful and harmonious time. M:Details!

F:Oh,playing with my fellows nearby the river, catching worms, going fishing, smashing paper pad, playing a beanbag game and so on.

M:What else?

F:Playing chess with my grandfather and enjoying sleeping when my grandmother was driving the mosquito away with her big catkin willow.

M:You were really lucky!Compared with your childhood, mine seems boring:just learning many things and watching TV!

F:Maybe, however, compared with the boy in the film, you cannot be more lucky.

M:Er......I have to say ,you are right.

F:And now, when our litter brothers and sisters are living a happy life, there are still many children putting up with hunger and the threat of the miserable war.

M:I know what you mean, but we have no power to help them.

F:That is just temporary,we are sure to have the abilities in less than twenty years!

M:I believe you.

F:Believe ourselves!

M:Haha......

Re: Group Communication

Introduction

Our team has 4 members, Cao Yang, Chen Ruiyuan, Ma Li and Lin Lin.After completing work on our group presentation much was learned about the group communication process. Each individual had their own different style of communication consisting of both good and bad characteristics. Working in a team of four diverse people gave me the opportunity to see how each of us communicated differently.

At the first meeting with all members present we all introduced ourselves and the brainstorming began. Sense of humor was instantly an important part of the group dynamic as we all tried to think of an idea for the presentation. It did not take long for us to come up with an idea that was acceptable to each member. Once in agreement delegation to each job was started. At first, everyone seemed to want to appease the other members by not revealing which job each wanted. Apathy seemed to be what guided these decisions. After each member had a task the communication began to take on a more formal tone. Each member has unique qualities.

Mary was the first person who comes up with our subject and she also was a

task-facilitating communicator within our group. After her rational judgment that the teacher will like this kind of traditional and formal topic, she helped us to make sure and coordinate each one’s task. This helped everyone else stay focused on the topic at hand and kept us from wasting time. She encouraged everyone to participate and get involved.

Mary was also responsible for the work of finding information. She patiently sorted through the files, then others could work on well. And finally, she carefully fill in the

relevant forms, and she will talk the part of how to reply the email politely in final speech. In short, she is a very serious and responsible teammates, friendly and welcoming.

Ruiyuan has a pivotal position in the team, because he is responsible for all the translation of material. As we know, translation spend much time and test one’s personal English level of test in the whole of English speech. He successfully

accomplished this task, and carefully translated each section. He is a humorous boy, and he the whole team worked in a pleasant atmosphere.

Ruiyuan will also talk the part of how to write the email’s body politely in final speech. It is the longest part in our presentation, and I think he used a lot of time to practice it. All in all, he is a He is a lovely and earnest teammates, and we get along well.

Yang was a gifted boy with talent of computer. He was responsible for making the whole PPT, so he could play his specialty, and he did do a good job. He produced PPT in a concise and easy style, so our PPT has a clear background and outline. Meanwhile, he played a team-maintenance role in that he was harmonizing. If there was ever a long silence and not much was getting accomplished, he would tell a joke to get everyone going again. He kept the group energized with his vibrant personality.

Yang will also talk the part of how to write the email’s subject politely in final speech. He is a smart guy and a outstanding teammate as well.

Well, the writer of this short report, yes it’s me show up finally. As you see, I’m responsible for summarizing. I try my best to know everyone’s hard work, and write it down. I enjoy it very much, because I can see everyone’s talent and learn from each other, and then I can make myself progress

I will also talk the part of how to write the email’s greetings and compliments politely in final speech. Considering it's convenient, after summarizing, I was also responsible for the introduction. All in all, I was really happy to work with our team.

? Working with a group of four diverse members helps to show the different ways in which people communicate. I think overall we communicated well using telephones, e-mail, and face-to-face meeting with each other. We met some problems in the wole process, but we overcame it easily.

? In the end, I want to say what we all agree in our team: Every problem can be solved if you communicate with each other patiently.

This project has given valuable information about how to improve on future group communication. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at 1520601655, or at 。

2. Email
