China Dream，My Dream

Good afternoon, honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen. My topic of today’s speech is “China Dream, My Dream”. Since Han Dynasty, four great inventions had been created and China become to the ancient civilized country. And since Tang Dynasty China began to step into a prosperous and powerful era in China’s history. Nowadays, although China is still a big country, it has not been viewed as the unique superpower in the world as it used to be. So how did this happen? And what leads to this gap? The answer is just as what Steve Jobs has said :”Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” In 2013 president Xi Jinping began promoting“China Dream”as a slogan, leading to its widespread use in the Chinese media. He described the dream as the national rejuvenation. And the key to achieve this China Dream is innovation.

Because of innovation, Apple has changed the world’s mobile industry when it is making enormous wealth. To the country, China, a big manufacturing country, doesn’t dominate the market results form the plagiarism. Because of innovation, the United States has produced so many Nobelists; while China which is the second most populous country, but as yet, only one Chinese citizen has won the Nobel Prize. Certainly, there are some successful examples of innovation in China as well, such as, Mayun’s innovative marketing modes which leads us into a new age of Electronic Commerce.

All these cases made me realize my Dream behind the China dream. My biggest dream is to become a useful person to the country, the society, and the world at large. And I see the future as a huge project in which I can play an important role. So as a graduate student, it is vitally important for me to do more serious thinking and

broaden my mind to be innovative, such as writing original academic paper instead of faking papers from online resources and doing researches with innovative spirit. I believe as long as I adhere to the principle of innovation and striving, I can achieve my dream and at the same time,more and more people will be influenced. So that seeing my country get prosperous and achieving our China Dream is just around the corner. Thank you very much.

MY DREAMHonorable judges, ladies and gentlemen:Good evening!My name is Wang Li with securities investment as my major. I’m in Class One. It’s my great pleasure to stand here and share my dream with you tonight.Different people have different dreams. Some people dream of being rich or famous, some others dream of staying young forever. I also have a lot of dreams. But my biggest dream is to spread English throughout China and Chinese throughout the world.As everyone knows,English is an international language which is spoken all over the world. Time magazine suggested that English is used by one quarter of the world’s population. Sixty percent of the world’s television and radio broadcasts are produced and delivered in English. Seventy percent of the world’s e-mails are addressed in English. And it is the language of choice for almost every byte of computer data sent across the globe. If we can speak English well,we will have more chances to succeed. More and more people have taken notice of this fact. Therefore, the number of the people who seek to learn English has increased at a rapid speed. However, for me, I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness,but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I sense a different way of thinking which gives me more possibilities to be in touch with the world.When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation.When I speak English, I feel a great confidence within me. When I write English, I can see the beauty of the words.I love English, and of course I also love my mother tongue Chinese.Chinese is spoken by billions of people in the world.More and more foreigners are starting to learn Chinese now,especially after the 2008 Olympic Games, I do realize that only when we speak English well can we communicate with foreiners better. Then we can travel around the world, make friends with many people from different countries, more importantly,we will be able to help foreigners learn more about Beijing and more about China. I hope that they can love our country as much as we do.To achieve my dream, I’ve made great efforts.Two years ago, I seized the chance to go to Dos Crazy English Intensive Training Camp for free. I learned a lot there. Since I came back home, I’ve continued to listen and speak English on the road, on a bus, in school and at home. I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe practice makes perfect.After continuous hard study, one day I can be an international Chinese.This is who I am, a Chinese college student! This is my dream,to spread English throughout China and Chinese throughout the world!Let’s make this miracle happen together! Let’s achieve this together! We can make it! We can do it！That's all.
