中秋节英语演讲稿

The mid-autumn festival has all interesting history. long ago in one of the dynasties of china there was a king who was very cruel to the people and did not manage the country well. the people were so angry that some brave ones suggested killing the king. so they wrote notes telling about the meeting place and time and put them into cakes. on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every person was told to buy the cakes. when they ate them they discovered the notes. so they gathered together to make a sudden attack on the king. from then on the chinese people celebrate on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month and eat "moon cakes" in memory of that important event.

when the mid-autumn festival is near, shop windows are beautifully

decorated. many "moon cakes" are displayed for people to buy. people send presents such aswine, fruits and "moon cakes" to their friends and relatives. in the evening of the day, they have a feast. after the feast, they go out to the garden to look at the moon. the children run and laugh on the streets.

it is believed that the moon is at her brightest on this night. many poems have been written about it, and poets are never tired of reading and writing such poems. in chinese literature, the moon of the mid autumn festival has been compared to a looking-glass, a jade rabbit, and so on. it seems that chinese literature takes far more interest in the moon than in the sun.

《追逐梦想》

尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学们：

大家早上好!我是200班的剡碧遥同学，今天演讲的题目是《追逐梦想》。

秋风瑟瑟，绚丽了这个季节。不经意间，秋天已至，月朗风清，最是相思无眠。时间，水一样流逝。转眼，又将到了一年一度的中秋佳节了。

“不知天上宫阙，今夕是何年。”天上的日子似乎比人间要慢许多，但是，同学们，不要感叹时光的流逝，也不要将时光虚度。自古以来便有许多劝勉人们珍惜时光的格言警句，例如“一寸光阴一寸金，寸金难买寸光阴”、“光阴似箭，日月如梭”等等。我们每天流逝的并不仅仅是时间，还有每个人美好的生命年华。每一天都有它的价值所在，所以我们要将时光握紧，利用有限的时间和精力充实我们的校园生活。

将目光着手于书本，而不是漫画，因为我们已经长大。 将身心专注于学习，而不是玩耍，因为我们不再年幼。 将零钱用于生活所需， 而不是攀比，因为我们不富有。

时光的虚度，只会让我们的青春一片空白;而充实的学习，则会让我们的生活变得色彩斑斓，领略知识带给我们欣喜，也不禁觉得光阴放慢了脚步。

多少轮中秋明月在夜里悄悄流逝，又有多少圆月，将在不久来临? 我们已经步入了初中，也渐渐成熟，并有了自己的理想，如明月

般美好的。我们可以尽情地去梦想未来，但是也要脚踏实地地为梦想努力。

在这里，我要讲一个小故事。（《相信自己是一只雄鹰》）一个人在高山之巅的鹰巢里，抓到了一只幼鹰，他把幼鹰带回家，养在鸡笼里。这只幼鹰和鸡一起啄食、嬉闹和休息。它以为自己是一只鸡。这只鹰渐渐长大，羽翼丰满了，主人想把它训练成猎鹰，可是由于终日和鸡混在一起，它已经变得和鸡完全一样，根本没有飞的愿望了。主人试了各种办法，都毫无效果，最后把它带到山顶上，一把将它扔了出去。这只鹰像块石头似的，直掉下去！

这个故事能带给我们什么启示呢？鹰因为失去了飞翔的愿望，结果与鸡一样，飞不起来了。其实，我们每个人都是这只鹰，如果没有目标、愿望，就不可能获得成功。新学期，希望同学们给自己制订一个奋斗目标，然后，向着目标不断努力。

中秋将近，象征着圆满的中秋之月，我们伟大的祖国建国六十六周年的国庆节，也即将接踵而来，更增添了节日喜庆的气氛，在我们欢庆这双节之时，我们也应该在学业上来个双赢，不辜负老师和家长的期望，努力学习!
