What surprised JERUSHA was that JEVIE was her DEDDT-LONG-LEGS. Finally they went on their love.

MY POR:

It’s a lovely story. Somebody said it’s a fairy tale for adults, I agree this view. It’s a really simple love story, nothing about money and authority, without any lust just about love. It is difficult to find such a love in our real life. On the other hand, the personality about JERUSHA also attracted me. She is so honest and natural, she can tell anything to DEDDY, she never worried that DEDDY may get angry. After reading this story, I really admire JERUSHA. Though she had a hard childhood. After all, she found her DEDDY who loved her very much. It’s worth to read.

Reading Report Jane Eyre

Jane Eyre is independent, rebellious and has a keen interest of learning. She almost loses all her relatives; Her life is of course miserable while she can please herself by reading. She feels so lonely in Gateshead so she thinks that is good to be send to school----she would like to be anywhere than Gateshead. She was send to Lowood ,but her first quarters not easy. The weather is cold, and the people there are colder. Fortunately Jane meets a good teacher and a good friend, but her poor friend pass away soon. Although the condition is bad, Jane learns a lot at Lowood: piano, French, history.Jane is not satisfied with the life only in the small world. She wants to know the world outside, thus she walk to Thornfield and meets Mr.Rochester.

Soon their relationship changes from master and governess to bosom friends. Jane saved Rochester when he was in fire, this makes their relation ship more closer.Jane loves Rochester, but at first she was conscious of her own position. It was impassible for her to have love affair with Mr.Rochester. Jane knew the most important base for love was not money, social status or beauty. Some times fate can have a twist, Jane gets the heritage and became rich, which unexpected for herself. And she shows her tolerance towards her aunt at the last.Rochester shows his love to Jane, everything become better.

If the story ends here, it is a story about growth. But it is a story

about growth and love, and love needs obstacles and difficulties. When they are going to marriage, Jane found Rochester has a wife who is a mad.It is hard to go on their love at that time, because nobody will congratulate their marriage and she will become a wife of married man.Jane leaves with inner conflicts. She hides in a small village, being a teacher and disappear from Rochester’s world. Of course the power of love let Jane find Rochester again, but this time Rochester is not his look before----his mad wife set the house, he saved his servants and tried to save her wife, but she flung herself from the roof as the fire around her.In the fire, Rochester lost a hand and went blind. The disaster make them more intimate.Jane and Rochester marry with no witness other than the parson and the church clerk. They make a happy ending like all love novel.

The experience of reading a novel is just like working out a riddle. Although sometimes I know there is a happy ending, the process of working it out makes me exciting. The Arthur’s style is plain, but she is good at depicting scenes and people.Readers like me can have a strong impression of her characters and scenes after reading it for a long time. I can infer what is going to happen by the scenes portray. For instance the garden in Thornfield the candle-lit room at Moor House and the Moor Lands, these things are vividly portrayed. Another important feature is the symbols in the novel. Like the fire, which is conventional and also the

dominant symbol in the novel.
