Yesterday I read a heart-stirring story written by O Henry. The last leaf is a move story. The hero's selfless and kindness make him great. In a cold autumn, unfortunately a young Pinter suffers from pneumonia. The doctor said if she have no desire to struggle with the disease, she only have ten percent to alive. But if she has strong feelings want to survive the doctor will have five percent chance to make her get well. The weakness girl has lost the courage to survive. Everyday she counts the remaining leaves on the ivy vine through the window of the ward. She said, "When the last one falls I must go, too. I've known that for three days. Didn't the doctor tell you?” Her friend told she dolt idea to their fried an old painter who always got drank and had been always about to paint a masterpiece, but had never yet begun it. The old painter regarded himself as especial mastiff-in-waiting to protect the two young artists in the studio above. Finally the kind Pinter for her alive disposed his life，the old Pinter he paint a l green and yellow colors mixed leaf on the wall at the night that the last leaf fell. It is a storming night, the heavy rain made him contract with pneumonia, because he is old the pneumonia cant be cured. He dead to-day in the hospital.

When I finished the story I was deeply moved by the old painter Behrman. Spirit is strong and it can beat with disease. Sue she was so sadly. There are so many things she hasn't done and there still have many

people who love her and hope she can recover from the bad disease. But she even forget her dream that some day she hope to paint the Bay of Naples, until she see the unfelt leaf. People should remember why she alive all the time and the value of life .Sometimes only for a important person, sometime only for a thing we haven't done. Life is valuable; it cannot decide by a leaf. I don't fund of sue even heat her. She should have responsible for herself, but what she did is only to make the people who care her worried about her. Waiting for dead is unreasonable. sue wish is wait to dead when the last leaf down from the old tree. The old painter scarified his life for the girl. In my opinion, Emily is really innocent and how stupidly she gambles her future! If she wasn’t addicted in her lover with some rational sense, she will also come out from in-side to out-side and go on enjoy the beautiful life.
