进入美国海关，须填写两份表格，一份是美国海关申报单，一份是美国出入境证明单（I－94）。美国的海关官员会检查这两份表格并最后决定您是否可以进入美国以及能在美国停留的时间。

美国出入境卡

I-94 卡对於入境美国的外籍旅客非常重要，该卡上记载该旅客可在美国停留的有效日期，通常由美国移民官订在旅客的护照上。在旅客离开美国时，该卡必须要缴交给航空公司，而航空公司则转交给美国移民局。以建立该旅客出入美国的纪录，否则将来该旅客有可能会被美国拒绝入境。

注意：入境时，美国移民局官员会在你的I-94卡和护照的签证页上盖上入境章，这个章上会注明你的签证类型和你的停留期限，一般学生签证会标注D/S。说明只要上学，就可在境内停留

当办理完入境手续后，移民官会把I94卡的后半部（离境部分）分撕下，钉在你的护照上，这半个卡片是你在美国合法身份的证明，千万不要弄丢。离境时会收回此卡片。如果没收，记得询问一下，如果被忘记的话，你没有离境记录，算做非法留居，将来就不能进入美国了。

I-94卡是留学美国时重要的身份证明，一定要妥善保管！
