徐：本次外语节也是平顶山电视台“信步杯”首届青少年英语风采大赛的分赛场之一，大赛是由平顶山广播电视总台主办，平顶山广播电视总台城市频道与平顶山信步教育文化学校、大山外国语学校携手承办的大型赛事，也将是平顶山市有史以来层次最高、规模最大、影响最广的一次专业类电视大赛。

付：此次大赛以“培养青少年英语语言兴趣、增强英语学习信心、树立英语学习榜样”为原则，计划将从20##年11月起，历时两个月为所有平顶山爱好英语的青少年提供一个锻炼自我、展示自我、捕捉机遇的舞台，并以此激发广大鹰城青少年学、用英语的热情，促进我市外语教学，提升在校生英语水平。
