汉城奥运会点火仪式的焦点集中在曾于19xx年奥运会上夺得马拉松冠军、已经76岁高龄的国家英雄孙基祯身上。在19xx年参赛奥运时，因为当时韩国正被日本占领，孙基祯被迫代表日本参赛，当他站在领奖台上看到升起的太阳旗时，他痛楚地低下了头。
