After back to China in 2003, he is now a professor and doctoral adviser in the department of Environmental Engineering in Southeast University. His Research Orientation is water treatment technology and Ecological Restoration Technology in Water Environment. Research contents include Removal of Biodegradable Organics in Wastewater and Removal of Biological Nutrient Technology, Ecological Restoration Technology in Water Environment and Water treatment of microbial ecology, etc. He is the leading researcher in two projects of National Natural Science Foundation, two water-special sub-projects of major national science and technology projects, two projects of Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation and more than twenty other projects of Jiangsu Science and Technology Support Program and of other city-level scientific researches. He won a second prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award and an environmental science research award of Japan-China exchange of science and technology. Moreover, he has published more than 60 papers.
