The influence of mining exploitation on environment and the solution of the disposal of solid waste residue

By the year of 2012, China has 8557 State-owned mining enterprises and over 200 thousands individually owned enterprises. The area of destroyed land in mining area adds up to 29 thousand km^2 and grows at the rate of 2% each year (Liao L-P, Gao.H and Yu X-J, 2012). The mining industry has scored tremendous achievements, but meanwhile it threatens the environment. Some individually owned enterprises lack the awareness of environmental protection and take no preventive measure to lower their cost. Furthermore, out-of-date equipment and poor technology cause huge waste in production, which cause serious environmental pollution.

Report on strategic analysis and position of the UK Cooperative Group

Executive Summary

This report aims to make a strategic analysis of the UK Cooperative Group. Through the analysis of the external environment, the internal environment, the SWOT analysis and the strategic position, this paper makes some suggestions for the future development of this organization.

The report firstly gives the introduction of this paper’s purpose, then the operation environment this organization works in, the strength, the weakness, the opportunities and the treats it faces are done in the main body part. The strength of it mainly includes the largest geographic coverage, the strong bargaining power resulting from the CTRG and the good market image its value and faith bring. The weakness includes the weakness in the hypermarket and supermarket, the brand position is not so clear and the lack of the range of products. The opportunities include the quick development of the internet and the deceasing affording ability of the customers. The threats consist of the emerging of the online retailing and the penetration of the “big four” into the convenience sector. In the last part, the strategy position of this organization is suggested based on the previous analysis.

Though people are born and raised in specific cultural backgrounds, it is through critical reasoning and innovative decisions their identities are conceived.

John Marshall, probably the most influential Chief Justice in the United Sates, is a perfect example for changing the traditions and creating an identity for himself. By the time Marshall took over the seat of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, the judicial branch was no more than a court that dealt with daily trifles and was obliged to travel long distance to sit in on rulings of inferior courts. However, Marshall established a stronger judiciary, one that can effectively limit the powers of the executive and legislative branches. In the case Marbury vs. Madison, Marshal altered history by innovatively interpreting the Constitution such that the Court was given the power of judicial review. Because of this ruling, Marshal broke away the ideals of British court and formulated a unique American court system that would be an independent force of the government. In a sense, Marshal not only established himself as the most influential Chief Justice, but also created a powerful identity for the Supreme Court. But for his innovative interpretation of the Constitution and his critical ruling, Marshal probably would have remained an anonymous figure like many of his predecessors did.

也曾读过很多综述，感到很多综述虎头蛇尾，引言部分牛皮吹得很震天响，可是到了最后越写越粗糙，到了结尾部分竟然几句话草草收尾了！读了如此综述，感到通篇就是“谁谁谁做了什么，他们发现了什么”，只有罗列事实，没有评述。正如K.R. Seddon在Inorganic Liquids in Synthesis (Second Edition)一书的序言中所说："How many papers within this annual flood of reviews say anything critical, useful, or interesting? How many add value to a list of abstracts which can be generated in five minutes using SciFinder ot the ISI Web of Knowledge? How many of them can themselves be categorised as garbage? It is the twenty-first century----if a review is just an uncritical list of papers and data, what is its value?"

abstract: with the integration of the global economy, components of a national innovation system (nis) have intensified the interaction, exchange, and cooperation with their counterparts in other countries, and this further makes the nis as a whole toward internationalization. because knowledge intensive business services (kibs) are playing a more important role in any nis, there should be an internal relationship between the internationalization of these two. based on a critical review of existing theories, this paper explores the functions of kibs in the nis and analyzes the internationalization drivers of kibs from a nis perspective.
