My Impressions after Reading”Gone with the Wind”

Recently,I have just finished reading a famous novel written by Margaret mitchell—“Gone with the Wind”,which is one of the most popular works among American novels.It took the auther about 10 years to finish this great novel,the only novel in her life. The story happened during the Civil War eve.Scarlett O'Hara,a 16-year-old girl,who was living in Tala manor in Georgia,was loving her neighbor Ashley Wilkes.However,after the war have broken out, Ashley Wilkes married his yonger cousin Melanie. Scarlett was so angry that she decided to marry a man she didn?t really love---- Charles Hamilton.Not long after that, Charles Hamilton joined the Army and died of illness in the war.So Scarlett had to act as a widow.Afterwards,at a donating dance party,Scarlett is acquainted with a captain named Rhett Butler. Then the flames of war approached Atlanta.Everyone was busy leaving away from the war.Scarlett managed to escape from Atlanta with the help of captain Rhett.Having come back to Tala manor,Scarlett made up her mind to rally her homeland at any cost when she saw that the former manor had been ruined.Later,her second husband died in the fight,she was a widow again.Durling that time, Rhett had been loving Scarlett sincerely and warmly.Seeing that Rhett could help her rally the manor,Scarlett married

Scarlett O’Hara

One of my friends had recommended the book Gone with the Wind almost two years’ ago, but my reading plan was just put off, for the book is really too thick and I even no courage to start. However, this semester I made my mind to read and I found myself was totally lost in the absorbing plots and the attractive characters the author portrayed. I was impressed by the war, the love and the hero Scarlett O’Hara, who would also be a charming and successful woman in today’s modern society, I think.

Bleaching book review

"Gone with the Wind" and other novels this book is different, you can catch some breath and read the novel, but "Gone with the Wind" the book have to carefully read what relish, read a few pages, a look back, read a few pages, then memories.

She manages the day-to-day affairs of the estate as a whole on her own, even sets the black slaves to the doctor. Because of these, the couples get the respects from the white manor and won the love of the black slaves. Their daughter Scarlett is grown up in this environment.

Gone with the wind, displays a pretty woman chasing true love, describes a cruel war and depicts a subtle friendship. In the story, selflessness of Scarlett, avarice of Butler, goodness of Melanie and recreance of Ashley appears before our eyes. Not only gone with the wind is a novel, but an encyclopedia about characters. It is worth mentioning that Scarlett leaves me the deepest impression in this book. “gone with the wind”is a book full of love and courage ,I just can’t help but repeat the brilliant words that Scarlett says---Tomorrow is another day ！Promising forever, full of fighting will , never give up, never desperate. I think I'm moved by her. So, whenever I meet difficulty, I will tell myself : " Tomorrow is another day. "

Love, Friendship and Family of Gone with the wind

A war swallowed a beautiful woman, a perfect family and a love. Everything seemed to be a dream, going with the wind.

Scarlet, a gifted nobleman,should have tasted sweetness of love, but she bore tragedy of her love, crush of her family love and falling of her friendship in the trouble times. So without dependence, she learnt to be more independent and stronger than before. To my sadness, she didn’tobtain what she wanted throughout.

For her love, Ashley was a pure dream. Scarlet loved only his bright appearance in fact, as elegant poems sank Scarlet into dubious illusion.Therefore, she realized her true love wasn’t Ashley who was perfect in her, but Butlereventually.On the contrary, Butler was ambitious, not like Ashley.He won his own love finally, Scarlet, expressing his power. Although Butler didn’t integrate intoswelldom really, he was fit for Scarlet. However, when Scarlet poured her love to Butler, he refused her, even abandoned her because his heart was filled with scars. Their crystal of love went with the wind, their love gone with the wind.

Having read the novel 《Gone With The Wind》 written by American writer Margaret Mitchell, I was deeply shocked. The novel, which Margaret spent about 10 years on, not only created a myth, but also show her own personal charm to the world. Novel's underground is based on the Civil War which happened in the United States, according to the changes of the Civil War starts the circumstances, so it has divided the macro history into micro history of personal experience. We can realize that misty thinking of Margaret through characters changes of people. My favorite character is Scarlett. Scarlett is a simple but very complex figure. Scarlett is a pretty, coquettish Southern belle who grows up on the Georgia plantation.Maybe most people don’t like her because she is selfish and do anything for love.
