关于举办第十二届大学生英语演讲比赛的

各教学院：
为进一步促进我校大学英语教学，营造良好的英语学习氛围，提高学生英语应用水平，并为参加20xx年全省大学生英语演讲比赛做准备，经研究，决定举办湖南文理学院第十二届大学生英语演讲比赛。现将有关事项通知如下：
一、演讲主题
本次演讲比赛主题为“I hope I can...”，参赛选手演讲内容要求紧扣主题，题目自拟。
二、参赛对象
比赛设英语专业组和非英语专业组，参赛对象均为一、二年级在校二本学生。
三、比赛程序
比赛分初赛、复赛和决赛三个阶段进行。各阶段均包括3分钟命题演讲和2分钟即兴演讲两个环节。为充分展示参赛选手的英语应用水平，在决赛阶段增加1分钟现场问答环节。
1.初赛
非英语专业组初赛由各学院于4月x日前在班级比赛基础上独立完成，选拔3名选手（一年级1名，二年级2名）组队参加学校复赛。
英语专业组初赛由外国语学院单独组织，选拔3名选手直接参加学校决赛。
2.复赛
各学院非英语专业选手于5月x日参加学校组织的复赛，成绩排名前20名的选手参加决赛。
3.决赛
学校于5月x日晚分英语专业组和非英语专业组进行决赛，评选表彰先进单位和个人。

一.活动背景：四级考试即将到来，为进一步营造浓厚的英语学习氛围，丰富校园文化生活，提高实际运用英语口语技能，给同学们提供一个展现自我，提升自我的机会和舞台，我部门特策划了这次“大学生英语演讲比赛”。
二．活动目的：
丰富学生的课余生活。为学生提供一个学习和交流英语学习的平台，调动同学们口语训练的积极性继而推动并提高我院四级过级率。

模式：二级学院内选拔，优秀者推介到院里参加比赛【并设一等奖、二等奖、三等奖、优胜奖】
主办单位：电气与信息工程学院团总支学生会学习部
参赛对象：电气与信息工程学院10级、11级全体同学
四．活动前期准备工作
1.学习部在18日召开班长会议，阐释本次活动的意义，并使班长统
计报名情况，于19日下午5：30前交予学习部。
2.宣传部以多元化的方式进行宣传。
3.主持人将由在我院“主持人大赛”中表现优异的选手担任。
4.提前联系教室以及邀请评委和嘉宾。
五．活动具体流程:
1.主持人出场致开场辞，介绍到场的嘉宾、评委，详细介绍“自我介绍”和“定题演讲”的比赛规则，并宣布比赛正式开始,。(2分钟)

Facing this audience on the stage, I have the exciting feeling of participating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more than a mere competition or contest. It is an assembly of some of China's most talented and motivated people, representatives of a younger generation that are preparing themselves for the coming of a new century.
