Noticing in SLA
Abstract
This article focuses on the role of “noticing” and “noticing the gap” in second language acquisition. It is argued that this notion has gained wide support on the basis of intuition and assumption rather than on the findings of appropriate and exhaustive empirical research. The aim of this paper is twofold: a) to consider the theoretical constructs that underlie the role of noticing, and b) to assess the validity of the assumption that noticing enhances language acquisition. This paper concludes that 1) empirical research has yet to validate the role of noticing in language acquisition, 2) an alternative view offered by Truscott (1998), which suggests that noticing is merely tied to the acquisition of metalinguistic knowledge, is worthy of investigation, and 3) future research into the relationship between training learners to notice linguistic forms and the acquisition of metalinguistic knowledge may enhance our understanding of noticing in second language acquisition.

A Brief Analysis of english teaching in senior high school Abstract: Classroom teaching is the main way for students to learn English. But in senior high school, a lots of probelms still exsit in the English teaching especially in the teaching of reading and writing. In this paper, the importance and methods of reading and writing will be further discussed. Key words: reading writing techniques Introduction: Classes should be learner-centered, with meaningful, functional activities, often, classes begin by finding out what the students don’t know. These classes operate on the assumption that there is a great deal of information that students lack and that the teacher and textbooks will impact that information to the students. Teachers who hold this assumption view students as plants waiting passively to be fed and watered. But I think the students should be regarded as explorers, active learners who bring a great deal to the learning process and at the same time, draw from their environment as they develop new understandings. The basic principle will be used in the teaching of reading and writing.

怎样才能提高学生运用英语进行听、说、读、写交流信息和思想感情的能力呢?我在平时的教学中注重以下几个方面。
一、创设轻松氛围，让学生敢于表达
在英语课堂上，很多老师都会设计以Free talk为开头的环节，目的是吸引学生的注意力，但总是说同一句话：“Good morning!”会使学生从一开始的满腔热情逐渐变得面无表情，味同嚼蜡，根本起不到吸引学生注意力的作用。上课伊始可以使用活泼些又带有节奏的chant来调动学生学习的积极性，使课堂气氛更轻松。良好的开端是成功的一半，因此，一开始就要营造轻松的氛围，让学生敢于说敢于表达。
二、重视英语朗读、背诵的作用
朗读和背诵是口语表达的基础，没有基础与底蕴是不可能出口成章的。我很重视英语知识的日积月累，一直强调多读多背，多练语感，因此英语早读课显得尤为重要。让学生在老师的指导下进行一定时间的英语早读是很关键的。一日之计在于晨，早上的记忆力与精力是一天中最强最饱满的。我每天都坚持下班级认真抓早读，除了对学生起到督促鼓励作用外，还能及时发现学生发音、朗读方面存在的问题，并及时给予纠正、示范和指导。读很讲究，可以分很多形式的读，如当老师大声读时，学生就要小声读，当老师小声读时，学生就要大声读，当老师读快时，学生就要慢读，当然也可以在读时加入一定的动作辅助记忆，总之，读的方式很多。有了大量的朗读、背诵作基础，流利地说就变得水到渠成了。
