大学英语课程是计算机系和管理系学生的必修课程，本课程旨在通过一系列听说读写译的基础综合技能训练，培养、提高学生语言综合运用能力。每周4学时，共计52学时。期中采用口语方式考核，期末采用闭卷方式考核。总评成绩按照平时35%，期中15%，期末50%的比例构成。

我所教的这四个班级都是本科班，他们普遍上学习热情比较高，但有一部分同学英语基础比较差。总体上来说，每个班的学生入学英语水平参差不齐。因此，在教学中，我注意因材施教，根据教学内容和学生具体情况组织教学，力求知识讲解正确，详略得当，重点、难点突出，语言通俗易懂。对于学生的难点反复讲解，对于基础较差同学则进行个别辅导并且不断的进行鼓励。在课堂上，注意利用不同的背景知识引起学生的学习兴趣，并注意介绍一些英语学习方法，帮助他们养成良好的学习习惯和方法。

在教学中，我始终注意知识讲解与学生训练相结合，让学生多读、多练。在课堂上根据教学内容让学生讨论，学生产生了学习兴趣，提高了语言综合运用能力，并有助于提升他们的人生观、价值观。大部分同学都能积极热情地参与到活动中来，但部分同学比较被动，不愿参加实践活动。

由于本学期所有学生都可以参加四级考试，所以学生们思想上更加重视英语学习，成绩也都有了不同程度的提高。期中、期末考试中，除个别同学外都能顺利通过考试，为他们今后踏入社会应用英语奠定了一定的基础。
