Liuxiang, who was born on July 13th, 1983 in Shanghai, is an honest, easy-going confident and optimistic man. His idol is Jordon and he likes listening to music, playing games and reading books. With the height of 1.89 meters, he is good at 110 meters hurdles and under the training of his coach, he has gained many wonderful achievements. For example, he broke the Asian record with the time 13’12 in 2002 in Lausanne, Switzerland, and two years later, he won the championship again in 12’91 in Athens which ties the world record. Most excitingly, he broke the record by 12’88 on July 12th, 2006 in Lausanne, Switzerland.

人物介绍写作技巧

1. 介绍概况：同位语结构、分词结构，使文章简洁。如：

（1） Abraham Lincoln, the son of a poor family (一个贫苦家庭的儿子), was born in Kentucky

on February 12, 1809. (同位语)

（2） Sun Shuwei, a world champion in diving (一位跳水的世界冠军), is a boy of 14 from

Guangdong. (同位语)

（3） Born in Maryland, USA in 1985 (他19xx年出生于美国马里兰州), Michael Phelps is a

famous swimmer. (分词短语)

2. 描写外貌：巧用with短语。 如：

My history teacher is a beautiful woman, with long hair and big eyes (她长着两只大眼睛，留

3. 生平事迹：尽量用复合句、并列句、非谓语动词短语和倒装等高级语句。如：

（1） In his life, he got many honours, one of which is the 2005 CCTV Moving China Award (其中包括获得“2005感动中国年度人物”称号). (定语从句)

John Snow 英国著名医生，流行病学的创始人之一。人类公共卫生史上的传奇人物。1813年3月15日出生于劳工家庭。14岁开始随一名外科医生学医。1836-1850年间潜心于正规医学学习。John Snow 看到百姓深受霍乱戕害，下定决心根治该疾病。经过认真调查和分析，他发现污染的水源是病因所在，一举战胜霍乱。

John snow was a British physician who is considered one of the founders of epidemiology. Born into a laborer’s family on 15 March 1813 in York, he started to learn medicine from a surgeon at 14 and was devoted to his formal medical education from 1836-1850. Seeing many ordinary people died of cholera, he was determined to save people from the deadly threat. Through careful investigation and scientific analysis, John Snow finally drew a conclusion that polluted water was the cause of the disease and found ways to defeat it. John Snow is recognized as a legendary figure in the history of public health care.

Former Ping-Pong player Deng Yaping was born in Zhengzhou Henan and got enrolled in the national team in 1988. In her professional career, she was titled world champion 18 times, including four Olympic gold medals in two Games in a row, therefore, she is recognized as “Queen of Pingpang”. Since her retirement in 1997, she had been devoted to her role as the ambassador of the Olympic bidding and played an important part in Beijing’s success in bidding in 2001. After the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Deng started to serve as a government official and was appointed Deputy Secretary of Beijing Communist Youth League in 2009. A much-told story is Deng’s legendary friendship with Samaranch, late former president of IOC (International Olympic Committee).

Mr Paul, born on June 9, 1915, in Waukesha, Wis, began playing the harmonica, the banjo and the guitar at the age of eight, with a gift for music. The famous painter, Xu Beihong, was born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province in July, 1895 and died in September, 1953 in Beijing. He began to learn drawing from his father at the age of 9, and joined his father in selling paintings at 13. Later, when he came to Shanghai for a job, luck began to came his way, but life was still so hard that he had the thoughts of committing suicide for several times. During the eight years from 1919, he was sent to Europe to study drawing and he developed his own style by mixing Western art into Chinese art, so he considered this time as “the happiest days in his life”. His most outstanding painting was the famous painting, Racing Horse.
