Monday, July 15th

It was a sunny and warm day. I went the beach with my parents and sister. I felt a little tired when we arrived there, so we made a decision to lie on the beach in the sunshine to have a rest. How relaxed I felt! Blue sky, white clouds, soft wind ,warm beaches……Everything was excellent. For lunch, we had fish and rice. They were really fresh! In the afternoon, we swam in the sea. It was really interesting and enjoyable, I felt like I was a fish swimming the deep sea. We also took many beautiful photos there. In the evening we said “goodbye” to beach and came back by air. How interesting the day was! I felt tied but very happy.

Thursday, August 1st I arrived in Tokyo, Japan with my parents in the morning. It was warm and windy. I felt comfortable. Our tour guide took us to Sensoji Temple. It was old but beautiful. There was a business street next to the temple, so I bought something interesting for my friends. Then we went to Guiza. There were many stores of famous brands. They were so expensive that I didn’t buy anything. In the afternoon,

we went to Disney. It was the biggest Disney in the world. We saw many performances. They were so great. I felt I was in a cartoon world. And my mother seemed to go back to her childhood. Everyone enjoyed it very much. For dinner we ate something special---sashimi. But I didn’t like it, because I didn’t like the mustard(芥末).

Friday, July 29th

Today was a beautiful day. I went to Beijing with my family. It was sunny and warm. We went to the palace museum first, and we saw a lot of buildings from many years ago. I learnt something interesting and important about Chinese history. I also took quite a few photos there. After that we went to a gift shop. I bought a lovely gift for my mother at a very low price. In the afternoon we went to the Great Wall. I was quite tired. But the views looked so wonderful from the Great Wall. The mountains felt like different kinds of animals. How interesting they were! For dinner we had Beijng Duck and some rice. They tasted really delicious. What a wonderful day!

I think a good friend should be a good listener. He or she will touch my heart. And I remember an old saying, “ a friend in need is a friend indeed.” For me, a good friend should give me a hand when I’m in trouble or danger. And she or he can truly care about me. I don’t mind if we have the same hobbies or not. Because I hope to learn more things from my friends. What’s more, I want to have a friend who can help me with my study.

In fact, you don’t need a lot of friends as long as they are good. What do you think?

What should a good friend be like?

Friends are important in our lives. Let me tell you what a good friend should be like in my eyes.

For me, I like friends who can give me a hand when I’m in trouble and can understand me. Just like the saying goes, “ A good friend reaches your hand and touches your heart”. I hope my friends can truly care about me and make me laugh when I’m sad. What’s more, I think a good friend doesn’t need to do well in all subjects or have cool clothes, but the most important thing is that she can share everything with me and keep the secrets. It’s not necessary to be the same, you can make friends with anyone if you feel happy with him

What TV shows do students like?

Now television plays an important role in our life. Different TV shows make our free time more relaxing and enjoyable. Yesterday I asked the other three students in my group about what kind of TV shows they like. Here are the results.

To my surprise, the answers are quite different. One said he loves the news because he can know what is happening around the world from it. One said he likes to watch game shows because he feels excited when he tries to guess the answers to the questions. The other one said she loves watching soap operas. Though they are not so exciting as game shows or so serious as the news, they can make her relaxed. In my opinion, we should watch IV shows that are more educational such as the news and talk shows. It’s good for us. However, we should also remember that watching TV is just a way to relax, so try to watch different kinds of shows if you like. But don’t spend too much time watching TV.

What TV shows do students like?

Yesterday the students in our group talked about our favourite TV shows. Here are the results.

Mary likes scary movies. She thinks it’s relaxing and it’s a great way to relax. Leo’s favourite shows are sports shows. He said he can expect to learn some sports knowledge from them. He can also guess the last winner of the game. As for Dennis, he likes shows that are more interesting such as comedies and talent shows. He wants a be a TV reporter one day and he is outgoing and humorous. My favourite shows are soap operas. Some people might think they are meaningless, but I have to say I love watching them. And I think soap operas can make me forget my problems.

How do students spend the vacation?

The vacation is coming, many students are talking about how to spend it. Yesterday I asked my classmates about their plans. Here are the results.

We found that fifty percent of the students want to travel. They think studying is so tiring, the best way to relax is through travel. We can also learn something new by travelling. What’s more, it can make them forget all their problems.

It’s clear that forty percent think that they should spend some time reading books or reviewing the lessons. They also think they should visit their grandparents or spend more time with their parents and

help them with housework. What good kids!

We are surprised to find that ten percent want to sleep and play more computer games online. They also plan to gout with their friends. In my opinion, we can relax on vacation . it’s a good way to relax by exercising or going to the movies. We shouldn’t spend too much time playing computer games. And we also need to study, doing homework is necessary to us.

How do students spend the vacation?

National Day is coming. How should we spent the vacation? We asked my classmates about this question, here are the results.

It’s clear that half of the students think it’s good to relieve the stress of study by travelling. But I think it’s more terrible to travel on National Day because there are too many people on the road and you will get into traffic jams.

We found 40 percent of the students think they should spend some time reading, going over(复习) the lessons and visiting their grandparents. They also think helping their parents with housework is very important.

Ten percent of them think sleeping, playing computer games and playing with friends are very interesting.

In my opinion, it’s very important to finish the homework perfectly

and go over the lessons. Besides, we also need to do something to relax ourselves such as exercising or travelling.
