To Whom It May Concern:

I am very pleased to recommend Ms. Qin Yuchao for admission to your high school. As her guidance counselor for 1 year I have watched this young woman develop both academically and personally into a mature individual ready in every way.

Yuchao is decisive and goal-driven. Her grades have been consistently above average in most of her courses. She is especially good at English. She has actively participated in our school chorus; as a result, she went to Austria to give a wonderful performance as a member of it.

Yuchao has also spent considerable time reading. This has included Chinese and Western classics, which has benefited her in many ways.

She also takes the initiative to talk to the foreign teacher to practice her spoken English, which is usually considered hard for Chinese students. She told me she is absolutely thrilled about this opportunity and feels it will enhance her university studies.

In 2011, 500 hundred high school principles came to Beijing Royal School to attend a forum. She volunteered to serve as one of the receptionists and guided the DC delegation. Her translation was highly praised.

Unlike many students who are not sure which field to pursue, Qin Yuhao has made clear to us all that her goal is to pursue her senior education in the United States especially in your school. To this end she has worked tirelessly in her courses in order to perform better when she studies in your school.

Prior to applying for your school, she has already been to Auburn Mountainview High School as an exchange student for 20 days in 2010 .During that period, she went to school with her homestay sister. They studied chemistry, math and music together. She also picked up some Japanese in the Japanese course. On the weekend, they went to church and gave out food for the needy, which a lot of Chinese students don’t get to do in China.

A College Recruitment was once held in Mountainview High School once and she volunteered to assist the recruitment staff from a number of universities, which inspired her to study in the U.S.

In closing, let me take a moment to restate why I speak volumes about the superior nature of this candidate. Yuchao doesn’t hesitate when she has made her decision: she loves music, she goes for it; she wants to practice English, she overcomes shyness; she loves reading, she keeps reading.
