英语演讲短文——介绍他人

Ladies and gentlemen, it is a great pleasure to have you all come to our

lecture presentation this evening. Before we start off with the lecture, may I say a few words about tonight's guest speaker by way of introduction?

Tonight's guest speaker, as you all know, is Mr. Song Jiang, currently

president of Vtech pacific company. He was born in ChongQing in 1965 and grew up there until he became 18 years old when he was drafted into the chinese air force to join a special squad called "Flying Dragon." He narrowly escaped death in the military mission, and after the War, started his own business, and now you know the rest of the story. Forty years later, he is an owner of one of the leading companies in ChongQing with the annual business of NT US$ 5 Million.

Tonight he is going to talk about the secret of successful management of his company as he gives us a lecture entitled, "Strategies and Tactics for Corporate Management and Expansion" ladies and Gentlemen, Mr Song Jiang.

英语演讲小短文 My Dreams

I want to be a teacher when I listen to my teacher carefully. I think I can be a teacher when I grow up. I can help many students learn things well. I can play with my students, too. So we are good friends. I want to be a doctor when I see many doctors save their patients. To be a doctor is really great. I think I can be a doctor when I grow up. Then I can help many people out of danger. I will be the happiest girl in the world. I want to be a reporter when I watch TV every evening. We can get lots of important information from them. They make the world smaller and also make us happy. I would like to be a reporter when I grow up. And I can learn a lot about China and the other countries around the world. I can meet many superstars as well. I have lots of dreams. I think my dreams can come true one day, because there’s an old saying “where there is a will, there is a way.”

A Girl Just Like Mother

No matter which girl he brought home， the young man found disapproval from his mother． A friend gave him advice．

“Find a girl just like your mother—then she's bound to like her．

So the young man searched and searched， and finally found the girl．He told his friendly adviser：

“Just like you said， I found a girl who looked，talked，dressed， and even cooked like mother．And just as you said，mother liked her”

“So，”asked the friend，“what happened？”

“Nothing，”said the young man．“My father hates her！”

和母亲一样的女孩

无论带哪一个女孩回家，这位青年人总会遭到母亲的反对。一位朋友劝他说：

“找一个和你母亲一样的女孩——那她一定会喜欢她。”

于是这位青年人不停地找啊找，终于找到了这么个女孩。

他对他友好的忠告者说：

“正像你说的那样，我找到一个长相、谈吐、穿着打扮，甚至连烹饪都和我母亲一样的女孩。也正像你说的那样，我母亲喜欢她。”

“那后来呢？”朋友问。

“没什么，”青年人说。“我父亲讨厌她！”
