? The Spring Festival: The Spring Festival is the most important festival for the Chinese people and is when all family members get together, just like Christmas in the West. All people living away from home go back, becoming the busiest time for transportation systems of about half a month from the Spring Festival. Airports, railway stations and long-distance bus stations are crowded with home returnees. The Spring Festival falls on the 1st day of the 1st lunar month, often one month later than the Gregorian calendar. It originated in the Shang Dynasty from the people’s sacrifice to gods and ancestors at the end of an old year and the beginning of a new one.

? The Dragon Boat Festival: people celebrate this festival to pay tribute to the ancient poet Qu Yuan, who worried about his country so much that he drowned himself in the river.

? Mid-autumn Day: is a popular harvest festival celebrated

by Chinese people, dating back over 3,000 years to moon worship in China's Shang Dynasty. The Mid-Autumn Festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar, which is in September or early October in the Gregorian calendar. It is a date that parallels the autumnal equinox of the solar calendar, when the moon is at its fullest and roundest. The traditional food of this festival is mooncake. The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the few most important holidays in the Chinese calendar.

? Qingming Festival / Tomb Sweeping Festival: one of the 24 segments of the Chinese calendar, Qing means clear, Ming means bright. Qingming, meaning clear and bright, is the day for mourning the dead. It falls in early April every year. It corresponds with the onset of warmer weather, the start of spring plowing, and of family outings. Your answer:
