As the entire world is gradually stepping into a information explosion era while diverse information is emerging at a staggering rate, there is a debate about whether obtaining news from various sources, such as television or newspaper, should be adopted by people. As far as I am concerned, to be well-informed, people ought to gain information through disparate news supplies.

Not only will receiving a large amount of information help people capture the seasonable news, it would also guarantee people keep up with the changing pace of society. By doing so, people can acquire updated news within a short time thus enable them to be a person who positioned at the forefront of the world. Thanks to the proliferation of the internet, a great number of people, currently, might absorb numerous news timely. As for me, I usually browse different pages on the internet if I have convenient time and subscribe a lot of news suppliers like the New York Times, The Times and Southern Weekend. As a consequence/consequently, I really obtain a great number of newest knowledge and development information in every corner of the world.

Every single person has his own ideology, and the journalists are not exceptions. Have you ever tried to think about that what will happen if people always get information from one particular source? Recently, a empirical research has claimed that if our brain gain information through an identical pattern of news every now and then, which will lead to a fact that our approximately 80 percent of memory will be generated by the same information. Namely, as getting information from a unchangeable source, which means that people receive ideas from other people , such as the reporters and journalists, people’s own mind will be occupied or even rooted by outside thoughts and this will cause a effect that there would be no real comments or criticism about a public topic. Imagine that nearly/almost none of people’s thoughts in their mind are built merely by their own. It must be a extremely awful/terrible condition when people fall in, so favoring to get news via many sources might be a brilliant choice.

Nonetheless, almost all things/issues/events in the world have two sides, so there are also some disadvantages about gathering information from a number of news sources. For instance, it takes up a lot of time. I think students besides me are likely to open many apps like QQ, Wechat, Baidu post bar, Weibo and Facebook in order to grasp any latest information as long as they get their phones after class, which will definitely cut a huge part of our time. Also, in many occasions that we can not obtain news due to the inaccessible internet. Yet, all these have been altered recently, thanks to the WI-FI in public, people can get online any time anywhere. Hence, it is unnecessary to worry about missing some timely information.

From all the analysis above, maybe it is dissenting for some people that do not support the ideas indicated previously, but from my perspective, I think people should collect information by means of different news sources for the purpose of keeping up with the world and constructing own opinions. Therefore, I claim with confidence that people have to know information by using lots of sources so as to be well-informed.
