Generally speaking, the reasons can be listed as follows. First of all, some unscrupulous merchants intentionally exaggerate or distort the functions of their goods in their advertisements so as to attract customers. Moreover, the supervision of the governments at all levels is not strict enough to eliminate these false advertisements. Therefore, false advertisements gradually become a severe social problem.
As far as I am concerned, I think we should figure out effective measures to cope with false advertisements to protect consumer's right. As we know, the law which is the most powerful weapon should protect our rights from being offended, so we can urge the central government to establish laws concerned and enforce them strictly to bar these false advertisements. Furthermore, we can, through media or TV, teach consumers how to identify false advertisements. In a word, as long as we try to abide by the laws, we have the confidence to believe that these false advertisements are doomed to disappear.
