1 My favorite subjects

I’m a middle school student. I’m learning many subjects in school. They are Chinese, English, history, geography, math, music, P.E. and so on.

My favorite subject is English. I think English is the most interesting of all. I like math, too, though it is the most difficult subject. I don’t like history or geography. They are the most boring subjects. I think Chinese is the most useful subject because we use it every day. And P.E is the most important to us because doing sports is good for our health.

2 There are three restaurants near our school. Of the three restaurants, I like Ham’s best. Because it has the best food. And it has the friendliest service of the three. However, people don’t often eat there because the food there is the most expensive .

I also like Miller’s. The food there is cheaper than that in Ham’s. And it has better food than Jason’s. It also has friendly service. It is the most popular restaurant near our school.

As for Jason’s, I don’t like it. Though it’s the cheapest, it has the worst food. And it doesn’t have friendly service at all.

3 Last week, our school did a survey among the students about the best places in our city.

No.8 High School is the best school in our city. It has the best teachers and it’s the most beautiful. People’s hospital is the best hospital of all. It has the most comfortable beds and the friendliest service. Modern Cinema is the best movie theater because it has the biggest screens. The best clothes store is （最好品质的衣服）and is very popular.

4 I live in Zhouzhuang in Jiangsu. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful towns in China.

There aren’t many roads in Zhouzhuang, and I think that’s the best thing about this town. We don’t have cars and buses because we use boats to get around town. Many people visit ), and they enjoy going on the boat tours to see the entire(全部的，整个的） town.

There are many special snacks for the visitors to buy in Zhouzhuang, such as sesame['ses?m?] cakes(芝麻饼) and walnut['w??ln?t] cakes（核桃酥）. Visitors should also try the Wanshan Pork Shank, the most famous dish in Zhouzhuang. To me, the best place to eat Wanshan Pork Shank（万山蹄） is my father’s restaurant. It is in the center of the town and everyone knows it.
