About our research:

 To begin with, we mainly investigate and study the students from the School of Information Science and Engineering in Shandong University on the issue of future employment. We design and release 300 copies of the questionnaire and take the questionnaire online to fill out the questionnaire Star website statistics which will give the analysis. Our main goal is to find college students’ opinions of working conditions about their work and their own development problems.

Survey Background:
Currently, along with the employment pressure, more and more students need to face the problem of employment. Therefore, a lot of people conducted a survey on the employment of the job market from the oral interview to the questionnaire; we can also obtain a variety of related research and findings from college students to the social environment.
Respondents:
The students in the School of Information Science and Engineering in Shandong University

Research question:
What do undergraduates consider about their future employment? The current study is aimed at about 300 undergraduate students. And the questionnaire contains the following issues:
A. Students' quality links to their employment.

B. Students are positioned on their own employment situation.

C. Current college students have many employment opportunities.
We have issued 300 questionnaires and recovered 261 valid replies. According to the survey, the object of male to female ratio is 3:1, which the average age of the students interviewed is 20.3.
What’s more, the results are following：

 

Instruments:

The questionnaire was designed by our group. Then we get the help from web. The purpose of the survey is to learn about the college students' idea of their job such as wages, working conditions, self-development problems and so on.

 

Data processing:

We make online survey and questionnaire. And from May 10, 20## to the 20th, we received a total of 261 survey responses. Besides, respondents are required to be honest. Then the questionnaires and online survey sites can ensure that their names not be disclosed. What’s more, our website which is called "Questionnaire Star"(www.sojump.com) can record data and provide their option. From the paper version of the questionnaire, we conducted a statistical processing obtained questionnaire results. Eventually we combine the online survey and questionnaires to get the final survey results.

The survey found:

The questionnaire is aimed at the students in the School of Information Science and Engineering in Shandong University. And most of the students are from the general family; among them we find that the most of people have planned their future in general rough. They think that the level of income is a major factor. At the same time, they would prefer to work security.  Most people regard self-development as their career objective. As far as we are concerned, well-developed first-tier cities and the smooth second-tier cities provide more employment opportunities to college students, which also attract a lot of college students.  And most people choose to go to the talent market; few people choose to start their own businesses or some others have their own better opportunities. Of course the work they are interested in is the priority of most people.

Survey findings:
In general, the student that has been surveyed selects the promising field.  The college students’ idea on the employment is rather narrow, students should note that employing in a varieties of channels should not only be the competitors of existing positions but be pioneer of new position bring the employment for society. The career development of people should be a ladder. According to the level of self-development, we should seize the various opportunities to mature. Among them we found that the vast majority of people have planned for their future roughly. They’ll first consider about the income in their career but not really consider about if the job is matched to their major. At the university they should have a long terms goal to seize every chance to exercise them and correct their short comings. So, they will have more opportunity and the wider space in the future.
