为了丰富学校文化内容和广大同学的课余生活,加强英语的学习和交流,提高同学们学习英语的积极性,给广大学生提供一个展现自我,提升自我的机会和舞台,在感恩节到来之际,高一、一部英语组决定举行此次以感恩为主题英语演讲比赛。感恩是一个永恒的话题。我们生存在世间,无时无刻都在接受别人的关怀——社会、学校、老师、家长、同学??,借此机会,我们可以表达对他们的感激之情。

1、了解西方感恩节,学会感恩

2、提高学生学习英语的积极性,特别是提高对英语口语训练的积极性。

3、为学生提供一个学习和交流英语学习的平台,共同进步。

三.参赛对象及人数

参赛对象:高一、一部全体学生

参赛人数:各班进行预选后,年级选出10名学生参加此次比赛。

四、比赛时间、地点

初赛:11月21日~26日以班级为单位进行

决赛:11月27日下午第四节课

地点:报告厅

五.演讲内容及要求

1、围绕“学会感恩”这一主题,展现对自己的学习、生活给予极大关心和帮助的老师、父母亲人、同学等的感激之情。

2、脱稿演讲,时间控制在2分钟。

六.比赛评分标准(满分100分)

演讲内容:15分。紧扣主题、充实生动、积极向上

语言表达:20分。语言规范,口齿清楚。发音标准,语调自然

流利程度:15分。脱稿演讲,口语自然流畅

演讲技巧:20分。表达生动,体态语言和表演技巧运用贴切

仪表形象:10分。衣着整洁得体,仪表大方

时间把握:10分。时间把握准确到位,时间控制在2分钟

综合印象:10分。由评委根据演讲选手的临场表现作出整体评价

七、奖励办法

本次演讲比赛评出一等奖1名、二等奖3名、三等奖6名。

Thanksgiving Day

In the United States, the fourth Thursday in November is called Thanksgiving Day. On that day, Americans give thanks for the blessings they have enjoyed during the year. 在美国,每年11月的最后一个周四称为‘感恩节’,在那天,美国人为每年得到的上天赐福表示感激。 Thanksgiving Day is the most truly American of the national Holidays in the United States and is most closely connected with the earliest history of the country. 感恩节是美国国定假日中最地道、最美国式的节日,而且它和早期美国历史最为密切相关。

英语演讲稿怎么写

1.根据听众对象,注意演讲的总体措词 演讲的总体措词是严肃一些还是活泼一些,是有较明显的说教口气还是用平等的口吻,等等,都要根据听众对象而定。如果场下听众是同龄的学生,那么演讲的内容只要风趣一些往往就能引起共鸣。但另一方面,如果听众大多是上了年纪的教师,太多的笑料反而会被认为“不严肃”,“不尊重”,而引起反感。 用英语演讲,不要用太多 I feel, I think,老是用I,显得十分主观,狭隘。如果通篇全是 I feel, I think 的内容,会给人觉得缺乏说服力。另外,perhaps, maybe 这样的词语,虽然有“客气,谦虚”的成分,但太多会让人觉得你演讲的内容有不可靠之处。 还有,在演讲中,要少用you,多用we。用you等于把自己与听众对立起来,而用we则拉近了与听众的距离。比如:You should not smoke.听上去像教训人,而 Lets not smoke听起来是一个不错的建议。

2.演讲要越短越好 英语演讲应该简洁扼要,直截了当。除非特别需要,一般不要采用中文中的那种迂回曲折的表达形式。其实,我们中学生练习写演讲稿,可以短些,从2~3分钟,200~300个词,围绕一个主题开始练习。

3.英语演讲稿的基本组成部分 从大的方面看,英语演讲词实际上是属于一种特殊的说明 2

文或议论文,其基本组成部分是:

1)开始时对听众的称呼语 最常用的是 Ladies and gentlemen,也可根据不同情况,选用 Fellow students, Distinguished guests, Mr. Chairman, Honorable Judges(评委)等等。

2)提出论题 由于演讲的时间限制,必须开门见山,提出论题。提出论题的方法有各种各样,但最生动,最能引起注意的是用举例法。比如:你要呼吁大家关心贫穷地区的孩子,你可以用亲眼看到的或者收集到的那些贫穷孩子多么需要帮助的实例开始。另外,用具体的统计数据也是一个有效的引出论题的方法,比如:你要谈遵守交通规则的话题,你可以从举一系列有关车辆、车祸等的数据开始。

3)论证 对提出的论题,不可主观地妄下结论,而要进行客观的论证。这是演讲中最需要下功夫的部分。关键是要把道理讲清楚。常见的论证方法有举例法、因果法、对比法等等,可参见英语议论文的有关章节。

4)结论 结论要简明扼要,以给听众留下深刻印象。

5)结尾 结尾要简洁,不要拉拉扯扯,说个没完。特别是不要受汉语影响,说些类似“准备不足,请谅解”,“请批评指正”这样的废话。最普通的结尾就是:Thank you very much for your attention。

4.英语演讲稿的语言特征

1)多用实词,多用短句,少用结构复杂的长句 在英语演讲中,and, but, so, then 等虚词要尽量少用,that, which 等词引导的定语从句也只会使句子结构变得复杂,而使听众难以跟上演讲者的思路,从而影响演讲的效果。相反,多使用实词,短句,可使得演讲内容更清晰,气势更磅礴。

2)演讲要注意使用各种修辞手法,增加演讲的感染力和气势。英语演讲中常用的修辞手法有:渐进(climax)、对照(antithesis)、排比(parallelism)、警句(epigram)等等。

But for myself, I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it. When I write English, I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese... I love English, it gives me a colorful dream. I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different countries. I can see many places of great interest. I dream that I can go to London, because it is the birth place of English. I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people, I hope that they can love our country like us. I know, Rome was not built in a day. Trust and Love

Good evening, everyone! Throughout my years of being a student, I’ve had many teachers. None

of them are the same, but the one that I’ll never forget and will always miss is my Chinese bilingual teacher in the middle school I attended in Seattle, Ms. Ho. She was a skinny, but stylish lady in her

50s. She was different from all the other teachers because she gave me something unforgettable.

Ms. Ho and I became friends right in the first semester I was in that middle school. At the same

time, I was having a really hard time with my subjects. Since I had just transferred from a bilingual

school, where I had stayed for two months after arriving in the US, my English was horrible; my average grade was below C. I almost thought it impossible to learn English. Then, one day she told me she strongly believed that I was capable of controlling my life, and I would be just

fine. She said that she found we were much alike: Both were stubborn, kind-hearted and a little bit simple-minded. She believed that I had the quality of becoming wise. She even said that she didn’t have any worries about me, about my not learning English. With her encouragement, I found 5

the strength within myself and began to desire to work even harder. As a result, I soon proved her right, and at the end of the semester, I got a 3.8 average grade.

Today, I still keep in touch with her, and she still tells me how she believes in me. Sometimes, I’d

think back, and wonder how I could handle all those things if it wasn’t for her encouragement and trust. Could I be the person I am today? Then, it struck me: What we need has always been trust and love of others; because these things inspire us to do our best, and to live our life to its fullest.

To sum up, I’d like to say to all of you: Let us all appreciate trust and love of others and achieve

our full potential in our life!

爱与信任

多年的学生生涯让我认识了不少的老师,每一位老师都不一样。但最让我无法忘怀的是我

在西雅图所上的初中里的一位华裔双语老师——何老师。这位老师对我有特殊的意义,因为她给我的不是课堂上能收获的东西。

我刚到那所初中的第一个学期,可谓举步维艰。当时我是从一所双语学校转入那所公立普

通学校的。那时,我刚到美国两个月,英语差到无法与人沟通。在双语学校中的各科平均成绩在C以下。就在我对学习英语快要失去信心的时候,在学校中几个星期的时间却让我与何老师成为了朋友。在我灰心泄气的时候,何老师对我说,她非常相信我的能力,一切都会好起来的。她说她觉得我们很相似,我有那种克服困难的能力,更不要说学英语这个问题了。在她的鼓舞

下,我找到了努力的欲望。结果,我验证了她所说的话。学期末,我的平均成绩上升到了3.8。

直到今天,我还与何老师保持联络,她也还会告诉我她是多么的相信我的能力。有的时候,

当我回想起往事时,我会想:如果没有这位老师在我身后鼓励我,并且固执地一再告诉我我一定能行,今天的我,还会是这个样子吗?面对种种困难,我自己会一直有勇气去面对吗?一次次的回想,我终于发现了:原来我们每个人都需要爱与信任。就有了自信,因为有了爱与信任,我们就会尽最大的努力,活出我们的“真我风采”。

最后,我想对大家说:让我们感激所得到的爱与信任,发挥出我们生命中最大的潜力吧! 6
