AEAS词汇要求以及词汇技巧掌握

AEAS考试对词汇量的要求虽然不像北美考试要求的词汇量那么多,但对中学考生而言,还是需 要有大量的时间和付出的。如果在这个过程中,学生盲目地耗费时间去掌握更难或是考试频率低的单词,大量常见的、必须要掌握的单词却没有掌握好,也会浪费学 生有效的时间。励仁国际将为您解析AEAS词汇要求以及学习词汇的技巧。 词汇量的掌握还直接影响阅读听力写作等其他科目,因此也至关重要。词汇量备考建议在4000到5000左右,参照的词汇量掌握程度建议达到介于大学英语四级至英语专业四级水平,以更好地应对英语测试。 AEAS词汇试题的出题的题型一般包括选择题、同义词搭配和句子填空等题型。考试做题时间:建议安排在20分钟,试题数量大概20-25题。例如选择题一般会给出三行英文单词的英文解释简洁描述,让考上从给出的A,B,C,D,E这5个单词选项中选出三个正确对应题目里的英文解释的单词。

解析:

第一个选项:“an idea of what will happen in the future”意为对将来可能会发生的事物的想法, 也就是前景,对前景的预期的意思,所以我们选择D

第二个选项“become smaller,weaker”指变小,变坏的意思。再看这五个单词,如果我们不知道他们中一些词汇的意思,我们凭词根词缀技巧可以推测C选项跟E选项比较有可能是正确答案。因为“di”与“de”做前缀都有“离开”“变….”的意义。 “diminish”词根为“mini ”意为 “小的”,例如我们常说的iPad mini, 而“deceive”词根为 “ceive”,意为“拿,做,抓”。相比较起来所以C最接近正确答案。diminish 本身即是“使减少,使变小”deceive意思为“欺骗”。可以理解为没有去“做,拿”意味着欺骗

第三个选项“become different”,意为变得不同。也就是改变了的意思。所以答案我们选A。alter平时可以和change联系在一起记忆。alter是动词改变,更改的意思。其他选项B:sufficient意为:足够的,充分的。可以跟表示相同意思的enough联系一起记忆。 参考答案:1:D 2:C 3:A

因此从考试题型方面建议考生平时在练习以及记忆词汇上可以多参考一下需要记忆词汇的英文解释,例如可以查阅英英翻译的词典的单词释义。平时学习时多举一反三,总结相同意思以及相近意思的词汇,放在一起进行联想记忆,这样也比较方便记忆。例如含有“明确的,确定的,肯定的”意义的词汇有certain,definite,sure 等词汇。

1. 联想记忆。所谓联想记忆就是将所要记忆的生词词汇同其他能够帮助我们记忆的事或物建立连接,因为建立了连接,我们就可以通过比较容易记住的这个连接事物来进行唤醒

比较难记的生词词汇。例如我们刚才提到的相近意思词汇的联想记忆。提到certain我们可以将它与sure 以及definite建立连接,或者同他们的副词形式certainly和definitely联系记忆,这样都会有事半功倍的效果。联想记忆可以用来建立连接的形式以及方法非常广泛,例如可以根据词汇的读音同其自身的意思建立连接。例如单词“butcher”读起来比较像“不吃啊”,而butcher的意思是“屠夫,屠杀”。我们可以将其与近似读音联系起来:因为屠夫天天搞肉类屠杀,天天都面对着这些血淋淋的肉以及比较肮脏的工作环境,所以看到肉都不想吃了,即“不吃啊”。

2. 词根词缀记忆方法。汉语中很多形声字,往往是一边表“意”一边表“音”。例如“姑

娘”两个字,左边都为“女”,表意。右边分别为“古”和“良”表音。英语中也同样有类似情况。“词根”“词缀”即是有类似表意和表音功能。例如“ab”做前缀的词汇往往有表示“相反,变坏,离去意味的意思”。例如:normal “正常的”意思,而abnormal则是“反常的”意思。其他例如absurd:荒谬的,abortion:流产,abandon:放弃,等词根词缀相关材料很多,这里不再赘述

3. 通过其他练习积累词汇。单一通过单词记忆不是唯一也未必是最好的单词记忆办法。往

往在练习中,阅读中,听力中学习到的词汇我们会记忆以及理解得的更加深刻。建议多在日常的作业以及阅读中广泛积累词汇,同时结合联想记忆以及词根词缀记忆,这样会更有助于高效记忆词汇。
