希望之星20xx演讲稿

Good afternoon everybody!

It's my honor to speak here, and I am very glad to share my topic with you. Today I'd like to talk something about good deeds.

In china, not only Lei Feng , who did lots of nice things

deserved the good pupils. While our common student, also can be a good pupil. There are many good things happening

around us everyday. Sometimes, you may pick up good things accidentally [??ks??dent?l?]. Now, let me tell you a small story.

On a weekend, my brother and I went to a bookstore. While walking, we heard [h?:d] a sudden [?s?d?n] noise. An uncle threw an empty coca cola bottle to the ground; people around him looked at him without saying anything. However, my brother could not bear it. He walked to the uncle and said that, "uncle, the dustbin is not far [fɑ:] from you, and I believe you can walk to it. “Suddenly, all the people stared at that uncle. The

uncle was very ashamed [???eimd] and picked it up quickly. Although my brother only did a very small thing, he taught that uncle a lesson. I think that he will never casually [?k??j??l?] throw rubbish anymore.

There are a lot of beautiful things around us, such as, closing the open tap, helping the falling old people to stand up, and picking up the rubbish on the ground. Let us begin with the small thing and do it from me. And then everyone can become "living Lei Feng".

Are you ready?

Good afternoon,ladies and gentlemen!

I have a friend who just started his career as a teacher in aprimary school.Weeks ago he came and asked me to raise a topic for his mid-term composition test. i was curious why he chose me because he is a teacher himself. My friend said that he wanted something that the students can really show their different idears without thinking. i asked him to let his student write about what they would do if they given one million U.S. dollars. My friend left with satisfaction and i fell into my old memories. it remind me of my time in primary school.in our Chinese class, our teacher required us to write a composition with the topic "my most unforgetable day" with our real experience.when papers came back, half of the students wrote about the forst day they came to school. the rest were all about picking up money on (the) street and giving it to policemen, or helping a blind man cross the street. Of course ,i was among them. but i remember very clearly that one student, only one student ,gave something defferent. he wrote about the day that he first kissed a girl. i read his composition. after all these years,i can remember every word.but i dare to say that Shakespeare may not be able to write aqually good (well) when he was 11 years old. but the kid was scored zero. the composition was written out of real experience and genuine emotion. but our teacher thought the content was "unhealthy". i'm sure you know the Chinglish meaning of this word "unhealthy". that was 15 years ago, you read about these composition and you feel that half of population are blind ,so all these kids can have a chance to help a blind man cross the street and ever one of us has a hole in our pocket ,so all these kids can have a chance to pick up a lost money and geive it to policemen. a few days ago , my friend sent me an e-mail of the copies of his students' coposition. i have to say, i was sadly disillusioned. among those papers ,40% students said that they would like to donate their money to people in poverty so their children can hav a chance to go to school. the rest were much more alike. some wanted to support the Panda Protcection Project and some wanted to buy books to enlarge their knowledge. one student even said that he would like to spend his one million U.S. dollars on the effort to cure ADIS. i was more than astonished to know that a ten-year-old child knew what ADIS really is. Of course that was (a) long time ago. it has always a dream to open the hearts of children. we encourage them to discribe their drean and we act in the way as if we are always ready to accept their thoughts. however, children are scared by the zero marked on their papers. they are trained to say what we want to hear. people compare children to flowers of tomorrow. and parents do dream about the scenery that roses, tulips, daffodils

flourish in the future. but down the road we are going on,in the future,or the future of future, only one kind of flower can be found. And that is the flower we like most.Thank you!

Q: Contestant No.16,it's been said that technology creates more problems than it solves and may threaten or damage the quality of life. Is this statement reasonable? What problems does technology bring us?Use specific examples in your answer, please.

A: Thank you. I guess most of you have seen the movie Terminator. I want to make a very bad prophet that human being will one day be terminated by our own technology. People all say that Shakespeare is the greatest writer in this world. I think from this aspect we can learn that, that the first killer of our future is computers. You can think that you may be able to read thousands of for Shakespeare's success. But beyond these thousands of reasons I want to say Shakespeare succeeded to be the greatest writer simply because Shakespeare has no Microsoft Word process to do his works. Shakespeare correct every single line og his composition of his work by his own hand. And that is why Shakespeare can be the greatest writer and will always be remember by us.People always say that Mozart is the greatest composer in this world. You may also raise thousands of reasons for Mozart's success. But I want to say, beyond all these reasons, it is simply for the reason that Mozart had no MP3 to download songs from the Internet to listen to. Mozart trust his own ears. He listens to every single sound that a piano producted. So that is the reason why Mozart can be the greatest composer. And people say that Picasso is the greatest painter in this world. You may also raise thousands of reasons for

Picasso's success. But I want to tell you that, beyond these reasons,it is because that Picasso had no Photoshop software to use to produce his pictures. Picasso correct every single line that he had drawn with his own hand and that is the way how he succeeded. And finally,I want to tell you that computers bring us automation and the automation will be final terminator of human being. We have automatic washing machine. You put a piece of dirty clothes into a washing machine and you just simply press button and your clothes is cleaned and ironed. We have dish washers. You put your dirty dishes into a dish washer and just after ten minutes all the dishes are clean and have a very nice smell. And now scientists are intending to produce automatic automobiles. You simply just press one button and the car takes you to wherever you want without driving. But if we allow this going on,maybe in the future a pig comes along and simoly press one button and conguer the entire human world. I'm not

exaggerating!Technology brings us power, but we are not ready to seize this power--just like you give a machine gun to a ten-year-old child. So before we develop our technology,we'd better grow up first. Thank you for that. Q: Contestant No.16,what you have said is indeed thought-provoking. If you were given a chance to rewrite the composition about you most

unforgettable day as an 11-year-old boy, what would you honestly write this time?

A: Um,if I could have been given a chance to rewrite that composition, I want to describe the first I lied to my mom. Yeah,it was when I was in the second year of my primary school. I got a double hundred score for both my Chinese class and mathematics class. My mother asked me what I wanted for the score I got. I very much wanted a Transformer when I was at that age,but I lied to my mum and I said, "Mum, I want to go to the bookstore and buy some books".My mother was very happy, but after all these years I regeret saying that really a lot. That's my answer.Thank you. Q: Thank you very much for your very interesting speeches.Talking about technolegy, I just wonder whether you can share with us: How long can you go without having a computer, a PDA or even mobile phone? Is your own life very much dependent on being connected at all times?

A: I can honestly say I an totally dependent on the computers. Although I (am) against that! Without compter, I don't know what to do. Before I came to Macao,my girfriend asked me to bring her back something as gifts. I don't know what to take in Macao , so I checked the computer and saw the list of these cosmetics. But I (am) still against the using of

computers before we are over a certain age.I want to make out a law that children under 20 are not allowed to use a computer, because after 20 you are mantally grown up.Thank you for that.

Q: Contestant No.16,you've kept us all very amused. So now I'd like to ask you how you would spend that million dollars for that essay that you asked all of those student to write--and you can't tell a lie--remember? So, and, we'd lile to know what you would spend that one million dollars on.

A: You want to hear the truth? If I have one million U.S dollars, I won't tell anybody. It's very, it's very reasonable. Let's say,Madam. If ou have one million U.S. dollars and one day a charity organization came to you and said, "Madam, can you donate half of your money to our charitable work?" Will you be willing to pay that money, will you? So if I have one million U.S. dollars, I will hide it until I am over a certain age, so that I can really enjoy that money within a very limited time or pass the money to my descendant. And that's my answer. Thank you.

F: Thank you contestant 16, as if he was waiting for more question! I think we had the most laughter so far today. Thank you very much!
