大学生英语演讲稿：如何改变自己

It’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech—Change the World, Change Ourselves.

It’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. Not long before about 10 Doctors in Beijing university and Qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture.

Frankly speaking, I don’t quite agree with them.Indeed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as China boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions. (examples).But why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.

There are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in China. On the one hand, some of the western holidays which we Chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as Father’s Day and April Fool’s Day etc. On the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in China. Overwhelmed by such a trend,Chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture. With the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication

between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. We are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the

earth.The only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? The answer is definitely no. What we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate Chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. Only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture. Only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us.

At last I’d like to share a famouse saying of Gandhi with all of you ,that is:If you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first.”

坦白地说,我不完全同意他们。事实上,我们不应该忽视甚至抛弃我们的传统节日作为中国拥有辉煌的历史和灿烂的传统。(例子)。但是我们为什么不能吸收西方文化的意义。

有明显的原因,一些西方节日在中国非常受欢迎。另一方面,一些西方的节日,我们中国人不合理和有意义的事情,比如父亲节,愚人节等等。另一方面,普遍的全球化使得中西文化在中国的流行。被这一趋势、中国unconsiciously卷入西方节日和文化。

摘要随着世界的发展,文化交流不同国家和民族之间变得更快和更非常多,艺术设计多重要。我们确实是来自不同的国家,但我们是公民相同的世界,所以不同的民族优秀传统文化中找到财富是地球上的每个人都…我们唯一的方法来保护我们的传统文化,就是拒绝外国的文化吗?答案是绝对不行。我们应该做的就是不遗余力地教导中国人了解并珍惜我们的辉煌的传统,而不是拒绝外国文化。只有通过教育才能将我们的信心和勇气向我们的文化。只有通过教育才能保持和提升的财富,我们祖先留给我们。

最后,我想说的一个著名的分享与你们在一起。甘地,那就是:如果你想要改变世界,那么你必须改变你自己。”

There are several things you can do to project a good image in an interview. First of all, look like a winner. Dress conservatively and well, and you'll look like you're going to the top. Second, communicate clearly. Consider each question carefully and respond with total honesty. Remember to make eye contact and maintain good posture. You need to look attentive but also at ease. Third, have a positive and assertive attitude. It's important to appear confident of your ability and optimistic about your future. Finally, be prepared. Present a professional resume and be ready to explain everything in detail. By following the advice above, you are bound to make a good impression on potential employers. My View on Opportunity A common concept among some people is that opportunities are few. They always complain that opportunities never occur to them. They only admire those people who make a hit or succeed by seizing some opportunities， and always wonder why they are never given a good opportunity to show their talent. Another common notion is that there are opportunities everywhere. Opportunity may occur to anybody at any time and under any circumstances as long as he/she keeps making constant efforts. As a student， you can get to the top through your hard work. As a businessman， you can succeed through accurate calculation and with a complete certainty that you can make a profit. In my opinion， opportunity favors only those who keep trying and who are ready for it. As the saying goes "God helps those who help themselves"， So no matter whether there's opportunity or not， what we should do is to study， to learn and become learned people， Only in this way can you seize your opportunity when it occurs. So never say there's no opportunity again. My View On Opportunity When it comes to opportunity, people’s opinions differ. Some people think that there are few opportunities in the world, while others argue that everybody will have some kind of opportunity along his life route As far as I am concerned, I agree with the latter opinion. For one thing, I firmly believe opportunities are everywhere around us. No person will be unlucky enough to have no opportunities all the time, because“every dog has his day”. s are transient, we have to make good preparations and improve ourselves. Just think of Newton, who discovered the Law of Gravitation when many people had watched an apple falling ahead of them. From what has been discussed above, we may reasonably draw the conclusion that there are quite a few opportunities around us. Only through we get prepared can we seize the opportunities instead of letting them slip by. As an old saying goes,“opportunities are only for the prepared minds”. My View on Opportunity There is no consensus of opinion among people as to the view opportunity. Some people suggest that opportunities are rare, and only the luckiest people can obtain then, while others argue that in a sense everyone has opportunity from time to time. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the latter opinion to some extent. I think that various kinds of opportunities are around us all the time. However, opportunity will not run into you voluntarily. you must try your best to find them and make full use of them. For example, when I was studying in high school there was a national chemistry competition. Most of my classmates thought that we had virtually no chance of winning the competition since we were studying in high school. But I felt that it was a good chance and I must grasp it. So I prepared for it thoroughly and finally I won the first prize. In conclusion, I believe that opportunities are abundant (abandon) in our society and everyone is equal with them. We can acquire them only if we are prepared and qualified.
