When we approach the issue of friendship , as far as I am concerned ,different people in different occupations harbor different ideas. There is not a common criterion for the notion of friendship, either. From my own perspective , friendship is an in-depth, intimate relationship which is related to communication, loyalty, understanding and empathy. I will embark upon the seeming difficult task of defining friendship by reviewing some classical views ,explaining what friendship is, and

There are two classical views of friendship which can help us understand what friendship really means. One classical view of friendship is provided by Aristotle, who is a famous Greek philosopher. Aristotle distinguishes between what he believes to be genuine friendship and two other forms : one based on mutual the other on pleasure . According to Aristotle, we may find three kinds of friendship. The first one is friendship based on utility, which changes according to circumstances. Once the ground for friendship disappears ,the friendship also breaks up . Friendship based on utility are frequently found among those who are pursuing their own advantages. Such people do not spend much time together, since they take pleasure in each other’s company only in so far as they are in the hope of the advantages of it. The second one is friendship based on pleasure , which is thought to be popular

especially among the young, because the lives of the young are regulated by their feelings and their chief interest are their own pleasure . But they are quick to make and break friendship,as they are easy to be affected by their feelings, changing their attitude often ,even within the same day .The last one is friendship based on goodness. Perfect friendship is based on it and such friendship is rare and it needs time and intimacy, as the saying goes,true friends must go through trials and tribulations together .

Another classical view of friendship can be found in the writings of Cicero , an ancient Roman statesman and orator .According to Cicero ,true friendship is only possible between good men .The friendship between good men ,based on virtue ,does offer material benefits, but it does not seek them .In fact ,all human beings are bonded together in friendship and relationships, so it is virtue that creates and preserves true friendship and it is important for us to build true relationships with each other.

From what have been mentioned above ,we can acquaint with the notion of friendship. Generally speaking ,friendship means the feeling and relationship between friends .As we all know ,friends play a vital role in our daily life ,so does the friendship ,thus we should build permanent and virtuous relationship which is called friendship with our friends.

What is friendship? It is to relate with somebody without need for money or objective. It is to need emotion and over wealth is friendship , no matter what their background , age , sex or personality. Friendship can be pure. We hear , nowdays, however, how one can be cheated by friends. Many people get along with someone because they have a lot of money. It is doultful that is real friendship.

Having friends, one can be find happiness. If you are in trouble your friends will help you through or at least comfort you. When you are happy , they share it with you. They are also there for you to chat with at any time.

It is a wonderful feeling, as the proverb says" to love each other is easy but to make frieds is hard", So, it is crutial that we should get along with our friends. In my opinon ,it is a shame to deceive your friends . The world would be more beautiful if it was full of filled with friendship.
