The First Day of My College Life

How time flies !

Sitting in the classroom at this moment , I still have fresh memories of my first day in this university.

To tell the truth, I’ve never been to a place so far away from my dear hometown . Thus , I was afraid of greeting other newcomers . Fortunately, my parents drove me to campus , and we travelled in this city for about a whole day . Of course , we’ve wandered along all roads in this campus with the intention of making sure that I got familiar with all surroundings . Thanks to a sophomore , we didn’t get lost in such a large campus . Additionally , we succeeded in finding all main buildings . including the library , two teaching buildings , the marvelous gymnasium and my own dormitory.

Adding to my happiness was to make my roommates’ acquaintances in the evening. The three girls come from different places, what’s more , I happened to come across a girl who come from the same city with me . I am a lucky dog!

At night , we four girls talked a lot about our former lives and our future plan. That was my first day in this college.

In the very beginning , we all appreciated the delicious food and the beautiful scenery in this city .

Then , when we come back to the campus , we got really nervous as the campus was too huge to get lost easily . Nevertheless , thanks to a sophomore , we didn't run into that sort of embarrassment . He kept company with us before my parents drove home . Additionally , we succeeded in finding all main buildings .

Adding to my happiness was to make my roommates' acquaintances in the evening. The three girls come from different places, I can learn different kinds of customs. What's more , I happened to come across a girl who come from the same city with me .

At night , we four girls talked a lot about our former lives and our future plan. That was my first day in this college .

When I was a high school student, what invariably happened was that I imagined how my college life would be. But today, as time went by, I have already become a university student. The school and the atmosphere of studying are quite different from what I thought before. Despite the fact that we seem unnecessary to spend all of our time on our studies, we should still do our best to learn and finish our homework carefully. The new school is three times as large as my high school and I have to change classrooms frequently every day. That's what I think is not convenient for me.

I clearly remember the first day I came to the school. Somehow, I couldn't fall asleep that night. I thought so much. For instance, a strange idea hit me that my college life would be full of magic things. When I said goodbye to my parents, I realized that from then on I must learn to do all things by myself. Sometimes I find it impossible to resist the temptation to miss my parents terribly. Feeling lonely, I always call on my friends, for the simple reason that they make me feel reliable.

I believe what makes people different is the attention to the detail. So I will pay more attention to the detail and try my best to meet the challenge. Nothing is impossible as long as you do your best.

To be frank, college life is utterly different from high school life, so it may require a supreme effort of will to adapt to the pace of college life. For instance, we have more spare time. Therefore, we should all learn the rule that it is an obligation for us to study.

By the way, our school is quite beautiful. There is a hint of summer in the air, although it is already September.

What's more, there are more activities provided to us, which can greatly improve our abilities.

As for the teachers, they are of great ability and integrity. They teach students according to their aptitude.

All in all, college life needs more self-discipline. Do remember that no progress simply means regression. So behave yourselves and do the best you can to adapt to college life. As the old saying goes, a man without dreams is like a boat sailing without a compass. With the step of competition tremendously quickening, it is increasingly important that we should fully know what we really want to learn in college.

There were so many people present at the school when I arrived here. With seemingly endless teaching buildings, the new school gave me a fresh feeling and attracted me deeply. In addition, the beautiful environment has assured me that my choice of the school is wise and my college life must be relaxing and colorful.

During the last week, I had some classes and made an acquaintance with someone. At the same time, I found a great deal of time that I can allocate freely, which can have a positive or negative influence on me. On the one hand, I am able to acquire so much knowledge beyond my major and learn more about the whole society. On the other hand, if my capability to control myself is weak, I may abandon myself to Internet, dreams and sports and so on. If so, not only will I destroy my life, but I must be a black sheep.

In a word, college life is a crucial turning point and period for every one of us. For the sake of our ideal future, we can never be too dedicated while studying.
