“We are pioneers,we and trailblazers. We fight…for freedom. We transform out dreams into the truth. Our struggles…will become a nation”just as this sentence shows that American people built a great country from the wilderness at the begining of their history.

The “first American”were the indians.no one knows just how or when they got to what is now the United States. In the late 15th century, Christopher Columbus,an Italian navigator, thought he could reach India by sailing west.and he reached some small islands in the now Wesr Inies.he thought he had reached Asia. and didin’t know he had discovered a New continent.Another navigator,Amerigo Vespucci, proved that the land was not India, but a new continent. Therefore, the land was named America after him.

Many settles cames to the English colonies in search of religious freedom. They wanted the right to worship God in their own way in their own churches. They left their own countries because they were the victims of religious persecution.

The colonists were building a new way of life in the New World..There were a number of features which would play a role in forming the American character. They were:reputative form of government, rule of law, respect of individual rights, religious tolerance and a strong spirit of individual enterprise..

The economy in the thirteen colonies developed very fast. And with the development of economy, the people in the colonies wanted more power to determine their own business. But the policy of the British government was to bring the development under control and collect more taxes from the colonies. The peoples in the colonies opposed the unfair treatment and all these policies. They declared,”No taxation without representation”,that is,without their representatives taking part in decisionmaking, they had no obigation to pay taxes. This came to be known as the “Boston Tea Party”.When the British soldiers arrived at Lexington they were met by several dozen armed militiamen. And the war of Independence had begun.EventuallyBritian recognized the independence of the United States. The American War of Independence shows that,in a just war,a weak nation can defeat a strong one.

Just as I mentioned above.Americans is not only fight for freedom, but also fight for a new country.
