Love is stronger than death

--An after-reading of The Canterville Ghost

In the past few days I had read a book called The Canterville Ghost.Reading this title many people will be terrified of the words, ghost.Because ghosts are always bad in people’s mind.But in this story the ghost is very poor.And when reading this book I was moved.

The Otis is an Anerican family.They buy a big house with a ghost called Canterville Chase. In fact Mr and Mrs Otis and their children Washington, pretty and kind Virginia, and the twins,two noisy little boys are very happy to live in a house with a ghost.But the ghost is not happy.Because his duty is to frighten peoplo and he was very tired. And he has not slept for three hundred yeas. He wanted to die.To lie quietly under the ground and everything silent,to have peace,and to be still for ever.But he couldn’t. Bcause of he did many bad things.At last Virginia open the door to Death for him, for love is always with her.

In this story Virginia is a very kind girl.She isn’t afraid of the ghost and death.She help the ghost.It needs huge courage.I admire her very much.As for the ghost,I think he was very regretful to do bad things.And he was very poor. Because couldn’t slept for three hundred yeas.But for his happy ending is Virginia and her love help him. So love is stronger than Death.

I think Virginia like a angle.The ghost like underworld forces.And

Virginia help him to change by persuasion.But now many people only help the person who is very poor,nobody help and care about the person who did bad things before.For example, there is a kind of people around us. They do something in a wrong way or they did some bad things.We often think they are bad.But in fact, they are kind. We should help them to know how to do things in the ringt way and how to get on well with others.We should brlieve that our love can help people to change by persuasion. If we do like that, our life will be more beautiful, our word will be more harmonious.
