英文读后感Norwegian Wood

Norwegian Wood

Caught in the beautiful sentence of the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami, I find myself in that deserted forest. There were two worlds in the book, one is like a mythology, in which people always busy with all kinds of business, passed by with all kinds of people, listening noisy sounds, They seemed busy, but no one knows what exactly they want. One the contrary, the authentic world seems pretty weird under his depict. Those who used to accompany him, either died lonely, or winded up their trip around the world by somewhat measures, leaving him alone. Then, consequently, he would seek the pleasure on his own so that he can make up for the desirable life filled with unknown objects. Another one is a sanatorium for those who lost their mind. But from my perspective, it’s more a heaven with joy and happiness than anything else. It is a paradise without anger, resentment, and without cheat. Life there is so cozy and pleasant people get along with each other harmoniously that all the people behave just like one person. And what’s more attractive, there lives an innocent and pure girl, whom he adored deeply for a long time. Till now I can remember the impressive episode he has described in his book. I can still recall the full-mooned night when the main character and his beloved one walked along the river, telling each other the secret hidden deeply inside their heart, or sharing with each other the exciting stories which happened on them. Then what exactly is the world I am facing with? Is there any similarity between mine and the writer’s? Human beings are very emotional and volatile, like the main character, those people around him, whether he intend to meet, or encountered with, ultimately become his friends, or the one whom he hates, or somebody he take no care with, the perspective towards different people various largely with time, as well as the way he treats them. And finally, he found that the best way to get along with people is to not guess and assess others, and make judgments on others rashly, and vice versa.

In my understanding, I believe that the forest in the book must have some symbolic meaning, and I argue it is the freedom and strong aspiration for the dream, which is cherished since we are the children. I hope that I can keep the trees in my forest ever-lastingly green and the flowers blossoming until the end of the world.
