出国扫盲帖V: 自我介绍

写这个帖子的时候心情非常复杂。本来自我介绍的部分应该都是自己搞定的，原因很简单：who can understand you better than yourself? 但经验告诉我们，很多中国的工程师不善于表达自己。如果我们问：“您的技术领域是什么？”大部分人都是回答一句话：“我是做无线的”，“网优”，“B侧”，“什么都能做吧”。每次遇到说自己“什么都能做”的工程师，我们都觉得有点无语。我到目前还没有碰上过任何一个人真的“什么都能做”。而回答这个答案的，他可能是做微波的、光网络的、基站的、数通的，总会有一个非常具体的方面。但是如果问一个菲律宾或者其他国家的工程师：“What is your technical area?”哪怕是做土建的工程师，他们都会很详细地介绍一串，包括自己的技术领域是civil work，其中会接触到关于铁塔、布线、施工队管理、工程验收相关的内容。还会介绍自己去过哪些国家，做过哪些项目。总之这个时候他们就知道把自己的技术和经历尽量完整地呈现出来。

鉴于这些原因，我觉得还是有必要给一些关于这方面的建议。但我一个人去做这件事情，毕竟力量太小，因为通信下面的小专业领域非常多，我们不可能一一介绍。这里挑网优作代表吧。涉及的一些专业词汇可能会有些差错，请各位指正。我主要介绍一下思路。

对于任何一个领域的工程师来说，首先要了解一些自己领域常用的词汇用英语怎么说。这件事情说起来容易，但是除了学习能力极强又极有主动性的人，其他人多半做起来会觉得非常吃力。常常听中国工程师这样描述自己的英语：“你也知道的，我们大学之后基本就不怎么用英语。而且国内没有说英语的环境，所以口语不怎样。”这的确是客观的原因，但是只要找到合适的方法和工具，这些都是不难的。有一些成功的工程师让我觉得非常敬佩，不止是他们技术好，更因为他们有很出色的学习能力和方法。

查找专业词汇，可以先用Google在线翻一道，很快出来，然后于改一下专业词汇。机器翻译毕竟在精度上不高，但是在范围上很广。如果实在拿不准，可以找更加有经验的工程师问一问是不是正确。大家都是在不断学习进步的嘛！

下面是一个工程师的自我介绍，可供大家参考。我觉得总体不错，可以提高的是尽量方便化、口语化。英文不用和中文一一对应，如果某些词汇和表达对自己来说难度太大，不容易驾驭，就尽量少用或者不用。尽量口语化，用简单的表达方法。尽量把长句子打断，但是要注意衔接。语法和时态能做到多好就做到多好，不用太多地计较。

我从事网络规划优化四年时间，主要从事HW GSM网络优化，熟悉GSM网络结构，信令流程，优化思路，GSM网络相关参数 (如，HW相关切换算法、功率控制算法、及主要参数用法)。熟悉华为主要设备及软件,如：BTS3012，BTS3900，DBS3900，BSC6000，BSC6900，M2000，Nastar，PRS，DAMS等。

本人先后在河南，新疆，河北从事HW GSM工程优化，日常优化，专项优化。20xx年至今一直在***移动专项项目上，主要从事双频网分层实验、KPI分析、DTA数据分析，RF优化管理相关工作，及各种专项（如：双频网分层后室分参数优化，拆闲补忙，上下行质量优化，干扰处理，天馈通道检测，邻区优化等）。20xx年主要从事HW GSM,WCDMA新建站工程优化，主要从事，KPI提升，基站勘测，单站优化，BSC割接脚本制作等。2007-20xx年主要从事，DTA,CQT,投诉，KPI分析等工作。

经过4年的学习及工作经验积累，我能够胜任新建站入网工程优化，替换站优化，BSC,LAC割接脚本制作，双频网参数优化，KPI提升（掉话，切换，指配，上下行质量，干扰处理等），DTA等工作。

I worked as Huawei GSM Network Optimization engineer for four years. I’m familiar with the parameters in GSM network such as HW handover algorithm and HW power control algorithm. I’m also familiar with Huawei equipment and software, such as BTS3012, BTS3900, DBS3900, BSC6000, BSC6900, M2000, Nastar, PRS, DAMS, and so on.

I have ever worked in Huawei project in Henan, Xinjiang, and Hebei. I worked in different kinds of projects such as engineering optimization, daily optimization and

special optimization. Currently I’m under a special optimization project since last year. My daily work includes dual-band network optimization, KPI improvement, data analysis and RF management. The special optimization items are free cell

optimization, uplink and downlink quality optimization, interference optimization, antenna system detection, neighbor optimization, and so on. In 2009, I was mainly engaged in HW GSM/WCDMA new sites engineering optimization. My daily work was KPI analysis, site investigation, single site optimization, BSC cutover script make, etc. Before that, I also did DTA, CQT, KPI analysis.

Generally speaking, I can do the engineering optimization for new sites, swap optimization, BSC, LAC cutover script, Dual-band network optimization, KPI improvement (drop call rate, handover, assignment, uplink/downlink quality,

interference optimize), and so on.

（以下建议来自一位经验丰富的朋友）技术的自我介绍后应该再加上2句对自己的描述，现在海外很多在英语部分的面试是本地员工去做的。本地员工是老外，光听技术上可能很枯燥，认为你是背的，说点自己的东西也许会更好。我把我的自我描述加上，哈哈，凑合完事：Basically, I am a cheerful person, willing to learn new skills and contribute to my work and career. Besides that, I strongly encourage team work spirit as this is the main thing to a successful project. In fact, I also possess good communication & interpersonal skills to work closely with my team mates. I am also a confident person to deal with customers and to maintain the goodwill with customers.

涉及到技术的层面，真的没我说话的份儿。我写这些内容的时候心里战战兢兢的。之所以咬牙写了，因为我知道有人需要的不是理论方面的指点，而是现成的这么一篇东西。切记上面这个模板只是供大家参考，不能套用在每个人身上，也不是对所有场合都管用。另外就是其中有的地方如果不专业请大家一定一定帮忙指出来。各位打酱油路过的大虾们，有什么建议和意见一定要分享啊，我一个人的力量太小了~~~

 

第二篇：出国自我介绍

Personal statement

To be honest, I first contacted with accounting when I was a little girl. Then I fell in love with accounting, which could be traced back to my family background. Both working in accounting industry, my parents are very glad that I show a great interest in accounting.

As I grew older, I found that the number of occupations about accounting and finance were becoming more and more. Choosing to get an accounting profession or a financial occupation in the future is a wonderful and easy goal to achieve. I actually know that in order to make my goal become true, I need to broaden my horizons as well as getting more professional knowledge about it.

In order to getting dynamic concepts and practice about accounting and financial, I naturally plan to seek a better education opportunity in the United Kingdom, where have the excellent chances of researchers and practices.

Actually, I was an English major when I first get into my university. Fortunately, keeping myself among Top 10% during the first two years, I owned the chance to change my major. When my teachers and friends asked me which major I would choose this time, I told them without hesitation that I would choose accounting. Thus, I become a student of accounting major when I was a junior student. I am very glad that I took a big step closer to my financial dream.

In the last two years of my undergraduate education, I took a lot of courses about accounting. For example, I learnt intermediate and senior financial accounting, the financial accounting and the cost of management accounting. I clearly understand that I am not satisfied with getting the knowledge of accounting from textbooks. To become more professional, I read some financial magazines such as financial times and keep listening BBC news when I am free. What’s more, I chose financial as a second major which was responsible by the provincial education office. In my second major, I also took a large number of financial courses. The financial markets and the international financial are two typical courses of it.

Because of the practical experience of accounting from my parents, I deeply know that learning knowledge on textbooks only is not enough. The theory of accounting and financial is quite different from practice. If I want to adapt to accounting faster in the future, it is quite important to practice before I graduated. Summer internship is a wonderful way to increase my experience of accounting. Though in the first summer I distributed leaflets, I went to two public accounting firms for one is Suzhou branch of Jiangsu notarization day industry certified public accountants, the other is Suzhou fangben certified public accountants in the next two summers,. The summer internship experience of the second public accounting firm made me more impressive, which happened in my third summer holiday. Because I had learnt some knowledge on textbooks for a year, this experience seemed be more useful. At the first two days of this summer internship, I watched the accounting statements, which accounting balance sheet, profit statement, each accounting details and so on. The leader of the public accounting firm told me that I need to understand the sources of each amount of money, which could be traced back to each accounting details. The duty of the public accounting firm is to review correctness of accounting and then

issue the audit reports. As a result, working in the public accounting firm is quite different from working in the company.

Teamed up with my accounting staff, I practiced my skill of what I learnt in the university. I double checked all the customs clearance of a machinery factory, which contained the goods and materials in the road at an accounting period. Besides, I spot check the accounting documents and wrote down the name of attachments clearly, which was done in another company. What’s more, I also fixed some assets of this company by myself as well as watched the cash inventory by my accounting staff. Though I did was the most basic work of the public accounting firm, I peek at the tip of the iceberg, which made the preparation for the future. When my accounting staff asked me to sign my name on the paper which was the statement of fixed the assets, I realized the responsibility of doing everything in a flash. We need to be responsible for everything we did, especially in the public accounting firm. They should be responsible for the audit reports which were be issued for these audit reports have the legal effects.

Through several experience of accounting and financial, I improved my academic skills and broaden my horizons.

Your university’s topmost reputation in business and nurturing academic atmosphere are what I have long admired. Accounting & Finance of your university is quite suitable for me to get further academically education.

So, I firmly believe it is the best place where my curiosity and potential will be given free reign.
