But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations, the new needs friends.

Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto: Anyone can cook. But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau's, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. Just as the introduction of the film :Even if again oridinary people, also has the power of the chasing his dream, even if he is just a rat life in the gutter ...... Although the Ramy is just a rat,he can also have a nice name-Remy, and his dream is to be a French five-star hotel kitchen cooking. Perhaps as a human ,you could not imagine how shocking the idea is, but Remy is a rat, besides cockroach , in the kitchen the most can't accept rodents.Because has incomparable talent in smelling, Remy live to soak in the dream of being a five-star chef , and made efforts to heading at that direction , without paying attention to the fact that he was so presence:for a chef a rat is the most fearful animal world. Don't assume that all of the rats as unrealistic as Remy , at least his families is normal, they do not like remy's whimsical at all,they just live a happy and contented life in the rubbish and partnership . This time Remy Is a little abnormal, no matter what kind of food he met he would always can't help but imagining: how should I cooke it, on fire, or sauteed ...

1. Introduction

The movie Ratatouille is a 2007 American computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the eighth film produced by Pixar, and was directed by Brad Bird, who took over from Jan Pinkava in 2005. The title refers to a French dish (ratatouille) which is served in the film.?The plot follows Remy, a rat who dreams of becoming a chef and tries to

achieve his goal by forming an alliance with a Parisian restaurant's garbage boy. ? Ratatouille was released on June 29, 2007 in the United States, to both critical acclaim and box office success, and later won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, among other honors.[1]Though we call this film a comedy ,in fact it is also a motivated film,or from other point of view, it can also be regared as a film of family love and comunication between humbeings and animals.Ratatouille was well worth

the trip to the cinema. The characters were superb, animated well and the voice work was top of the line. Every single one of them unique and witty. Each one had something to offer and what they offered was pure genius. The plot, brilliant, and well thought through. Someone else added a comment about their being a very near cliché and I didn't realize what it was until the end but Im glad they didn't cling on to it. It was one twist that surprised me and the rest of my friends who decided to go view it. The story was on a constant roll and rarely showed any signs of slowing down.

The comedy was fresh and full of fun. It was funny in a number of ways and in many places that were often unexpected but I'm really glad that they were there.

I've been waiting to see this title for a very long time. I can honestly say that there was nothing I didn't like in this movie. I don't know how they could have made it any better and I believe that it's perfect the way it is.

2. Summary

The hero of this film whose name is Remy is not a real hero who fight with evil and save humbings and the world . He ,more cxactiy,it is just a rat live in Paris,but he is something but a rat ,he can read,he can think,and he is interested in doing the cooking, what is more ,he has a dream of being a great chef,which seems far but firm. Ramy lived in an old lady'sceiling with his rat family. By a chance,Ramy watched a program about cooking dinner hosted by a great chef whose name is Gusteau,from then on,he started watching programs and book about Gusteau in the house of the old lady who is also interested in cooking dinner.However one day when Rwmy and his old brother came to the old lady's house again ,the want to take some ingredient away,unluclily,they woked up the hoster and was founded because of their carelessness.The lady was very angry,she took out her gun and shut at the two poor guys.During their fleeing, the den of their family was sestoryde.So ,the next is the fleeing of the whole rat family, the ran out of the old lady'house quickly and go abrod a boat then fleed by going down the sewer.However, Remy missde the boat and lost all his families in the chasing of the old lady,for the reason that on the way to sewer he thought of the book of Gusteau and came back to took it away.Then Ramy came to downtown Pairs by accident,there he met with Gustead ,the great chef who encouraged him to chase his own dream and told him that no matter however hungry he is,he just can not steal food. Ramy did not find he is in downtown Pairs until he climbed one high building as the guide of Gusteau ,and what's more,Ramy found that The Ratatouille ,the reseaurant of Gustead was just in front of him.He was very excited for the dream has never been so close to him.As you can see ,he then came to the restaurant and here he met a garbage boy who is also just came to Ratatouille.The garbage boy whose name is Linguini ,in fact,is the son of Gustead. When Ramy was watching the kitchen,he was founded and caught,Linguini was askde to kill him out side the the kitchen.Just then ,;Linguini found that Ramy is not an ordianry rat,he can responded to Linguini's question.Then the two one became

close parenters, when Linhuini found that Ramy has gift on cooking dinner,he and Ramy started to cooperate to cook,this also a start of their succed. The cooperate is not so easy , Ramy hided in the cap of Linhuini from which he could see the ingredients and smell condiment as well.As for Linguini ,he was controled by Remy by pulling his hair.As a saying gose, practice makes perfect,they two do much exercise and the could cooperate better and better.So as we can see,with the help of Ramy ,Linguini became more and more popular, and more and more people came to The Ratatouille to taste the food made by Linguini.All of this attracted the atteneion of Ego who was regarded as one of the most severe critics in Pairs.Ego once criticted Gustead,saying that the word every one could be a chef is completely wrong, in contrast not every one could be a chef.To prove his word , he came to The Ratatouille in person to try the young chef's food.The fact is that ,Ego was not only satisfideBut also moved for the food made him think of his childhood and his mother's smell.At last ,The Ratatouille was closed ,however Linhuini and Ramy opened another one and is also very popular.

The problem, of course, is that he's still a rat, so he befriends Linguini , a lowly janitor with no training in the kitchen. With the anthropomorphic animal whispering in his ear, the custodian is gradually transformed into the new toast of the town, even winning grudging accolades for his piece de resistance, Ratatouille, from the city's caustic food critic, Anton Ego . Of course, Linguini's secret eventually comes out and the question then becomes whether Remy will be accepted despite his humble rat roots.??Thus, tolerance is the driving theme underpinning Ratatouille, another winning animated adventure from the good folks at Pixar. Not only funny, engaging and entertaining from beginning to end, but a picture which delivers an abundance of heartwarming messages. That rare film which can be heartily recommended for the whole family, except maybe for those tykes who might be scared by its super-realistic depiction of rodents.?

This words remained me of another one said by Newton Genius is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration. Accordingly, a ‘genius’ is often merely a talented person who has done all of his or her homework .In fact ,a little rat as Ramy is,he caught his dream at last after so much diffculty ,gangeous ang misunderstanding.So in a sense ,this rat is just as great as Newton.

2.Remy: This is me. I think it's apparent that I need to rethink my life a little bit. I can't help myself. I... I like good food, ok? And... good food is... hard for a rat to find! ?Django: It wouldn't be so hard to find, if you weren't so picky! ? Remy: I don't wanna eat garbage dad!?

No one could choses his starting point but every one have the right to chose his way and destination. In now days,there are many young people who were called short and ugly and poor.But it is all right ,one have no necessary to be ashamed or unpleasant when he heared somebody others call him this name,because it's just a truth.What he should more ,or correctly must, do is to try hard,because it is the only way to change your life and you family'life.Just like Ramy ,he has no way to change the truth that he is rat but he could study very hard ,he could insist and never give up.So, in the end ,although Ramy did not change the truth that he is a rat,but he was accepted by even the most severe critic,he is not a heated rat but became a respected one.

3.Gusteau: You know what I say. Anyone can cook. ? Remy: Yeah, anyone can cook. That doesn't mean anyone should.?

Yes, just as Gusteau said anyone can cook,in fact,we can also say anyone can do everything. But then Ramy thought he maybe should not cook,that is because he doubt of himself.He thought as rat there are too much difficulty on his way to be a chef,maybe he could not get success.In fact every one has ever been alusia,it is nothing,after all every would be tired or upset sometime.On the other hand , shoud not can not be the excuese of not to do.You should just pay more than others if you have no advantage to do something . If you are hard enough,you could obtain any thing you want but far from you .

Ego, once was regared the most severe critic in Pairs,changed his viewpoint completely because of a dish of food.Or more correctly ,a dish of food correct Ego's mistakes.It is true that, making a comment is a very simple thing.but you should be serious when you make comment,because you don not know how much effort the man you commented paid, maybe he is nobody,his effort is respected.So it is not

necessary to be so severe .
