First of all please allow me to introduce myself to you. My name is Wu XX,I am 24 years old. I come from XX,a beautiful city of Fujian Province.My undergraduate period will be acomplished in XX University in July 2009, Majoring in Polymer Material and Engineering in the college of Chemistry and Material Sicence.

3）.性格，爱好，实践经验

Generally speaking， I am open-minded, optimistic, and hard working . Four years' university education gives me a lot of things to learn,a lot of chances to try,and a lot of practices to improve myself.I not only learn a lot about my major,but also get much experience.I develop my interest and ability to solve problems. In my spare time,I have several

hobbies .My favorite activity is swimming because I grew up in a small town near the seashore.Besides swimming,I also interested in climbing and playing ping-pong.I think it is very important to keep balance between stuy and leisure.

4）.为什么想读研,将来愿意从事的方向,读研时的打算

Although I have acquired the essential knowledge of my major, I am not easily satisfied with such superficial knowledge,because there is still too much I don’t know. I will not be competent to do things professionally owing to lack of ample knowledge and ability. So I think further study is still urgent for me to realize self-value. It is necessary to seize any chance for self-development, especially in this competitive modernworld. This is a very important reason for me to take the postgraduate exams.

As is well known, Sichuan Universty is a famous unversity for its good reputation of professional experts and high-level of

teaching.Besides,the campus environment and facilities are fine and satisfying , I am deeply attracted by the scholarly atmosphere here ,which led my decision to make this choice.

if luckily I am enrolled to learn composite material in Sichuan University, I will concentrate on the study and reserch in this field. First I will work hard to learn the theoriticalknowledge, making a solid foundation for future profession; second I would like to do some practical

esperiments with the help of my professor ,in this way I can get something

that cannot be acquired from the textbooks. If possible, I will go on with my study for doctorate degree.

2.我的大学

Fujian Normal University is the oldest one in the province with a history of over 100 years.It has been developing into a comprehensive university with efforts of generations, especially in the recent 30 years.We have a new campus with almost all the facilities we need ,such as the computer center,well-equipped labs, modern education technical center and so on。The library is brand-new, with a storage of 3 millions books. Our professors are knowledgable and extracurricular activities are colorful.In a word,I love my university.

3.家庭

There are six menbers in my family :my parents,my elder brother ,my two elder sisters and I.All of my brother and sisters have been married,so now I live with my parents. My father is very king and easy-going.His love for me is unconditional. I am lucky because I have a good father .My father has been thisty for knowledge as he had only a few years of schooling homself.He believes that the knowledge can change fate.So,my father offered me every opportunity to study no matter how poor my familiy was. To sum up,my family is harmonious and our life is very happy.

4.家乡

My hometown is Zhao’an, in Zhangzhou City of Fujian Province. It’s not very large, with a history of 500 years and a population of 50 thousands. Unlike being in a big city,there isn’t much industry ,so it is a very beautiful and lovely place to live in.There are some old teahouses ,you can have a cup of tea and chat there in the morning.And there is also a beautiful park,which is called Zhongshan Park,people usully do exercises and go walking in it. Its economy has been developing rapidly in the past twenty years. New houses,roads and bridges have been built. People in my hometown are very hard working,friendly and honest.although they are a bit conservative sometimes.In a word ,I love my hometown very much.

5.大学生活

Generally speaking,I find my college life interesting and colorful ,it will be my most excieting period of my life.And I should say that four-year academic life would become one of most rewarding experiences in my life.We have chances to learn a lot of knowledge ,we have opportunities to develop our abilities.We take part in seminars ,academic reports and some rearch work.In this way,we put what we learn into pratice.I also enjoy my leisure activities,they are all very wonderful.

6.同学相处

We are getting on well with each other.Most of them are smart and

considerate,but some of them are kind of nosiy and messy.Anyway ,I like

them very much.Well,some of my roommates enjoy playing cards so much and they often keep me up late at night.

7.学习情况

My scores are over average ,but I spent a lot of time in my part-time jobs.I am not a very good student,but I like learning ,I always study hard.

8.个人情况

1) 描述自己性格特征

Well,it’s hard to describe myself.I am a happy person,quite optimistic and hard-working .Ilike helping others.

2)最大优缺点

Best quality:My best quality is I am able to work hard.I may not be the best,but I always try my best.

Least attractive characterististic:I am not an outward person,sometime I am shy to express myself.So if possible,I want to get rid of my timidity,be more sociable and make more friends.

3)音乐、运动

Music：I like pop music because it best expresses my feelings and easy to understand.

Sport:I like sports because it brings health,which is the source of happiness.Besides,I can become mentally mature through doing some sports.

9.看过最喜欢的书

I have read many kinds of books,among them I found “the old man and the sea”by Hemingway the most encouraging.I was deeply impressed by the old man’s persistence on not giving up what he had been doing and his strong will to fight against hardship and bad luck to realize his aims.From the book I learn success only belongs to those who are persistent,patient and not afraid of failure and difficulities.What I learn from the old man is nenver say no to failure and bad luck.The influence has still worked on me although I read the book ten years ago.

10 .最喜欢的运动

I like various sports,but Ping-Pong is my favorite.I often go to Ping-Pong club to play it.It is so important to me that it already becomes part of my life.Fist,it makes me physically strong.Second ,I make a lot of friends,whom I like to communicate with when in trouble.Playing table tennis makes me more quick-witted,and I really enjoy it my very much。

11.最喜欢的老师

My college English teacher is my favorite teacher.She is in her

forties,and has quite active personality.Unlike other teacher of her age,she knows well enough the meaning of life and work,and has keen pursuit of both career success and life enjoyment.I admire the way she work and live.She is a successful mother and a successful teacher.

12.学习习惯

Generally speaking,I am a moring person.I like to get uo early in the morning,go out to breath the fresh air first,then do some reading aloud

while listening to the bird singing with the red son in the east.I can memorize a lot of things in this way.In the afternoon,especially,after class,I would like to go to the library to study.I like to find a corner in the reference room in the library and enjoy studying alone there.

13.学习中的困难

If you ask me the difficuly I have met in my study,I think English undoubtedly is the most difficult,especially spoken English.I have learned English for almost 10 years and I still have a lot of trouble with oral English .The bigest is that I cannot communicate with foreigners freely.I always want to translate words in my mind.Though there are things need improving,I never lose my confidence to overcome it.Practice makes perfect,I believe.

14.英语学习的重要性

I think it is very important for us to learn a foreign language because life tampo is really fast dute to the rapid development of science and technology.Enlish,the commonly used language in the world, is playing an increasingly important role in helping people to get to know such quik changes,and the cross-cultures of the world..Therefore I think to learn a foreign language ,especilly English, is vital and essential to people of the modern society.

15友谊与朋友

I think friendship is one of the most valuable things in the world,besides love and life.One may have no brothers or sisters,but one cannot be without friends,Sometimes,friends can help you more than you parents can.So I cherish friendship very much.

First ,I will see if he or she is a nice person who is honest and

frank.Second,I will consider whether we have a lot in common.Once I have made friends with someone,I will treat them with my whole heart,and I hope we can believe in each other.
