单词短语重点分析
1、pair n. (相关的)两个人,一对儿。 pl._______。短语:a pair of
2、meaning n. 意义;意思 v. ___________: 意味着

3、practise v. 练习 practise doing sth. 练习做某事

5、look up 查找;查(查字典或查资料)。后接it, them 做宾语放短语中间,即:look it/them up 查找它/它们。类似短语:turn on; turn off, turn up, turn down, write down, pick up, put on, take off等,后接it, them 做宾语放短语中间。
注意区别:look for 寻找;look after 照顾,照看;look at 看……;look the same 看起来一样;look like看起来像……
6、advice n. 建议;意见。不可数名词,词前不能直接加a/an, a few, few, many 等。a piece of advice 一条建议 some advice 一些建议
advise v. 建议。 advise sb. (not) to do sth. 建议某人(不)做某事
7、should 应该;应当。情态动词,后接动词原形。
8、forget v. 忘记;忘(忘记做某事);而遗忘某物在某地则用:leave
forget doing sth. 忘记做过某事(动作已发生) forget to do sth. 忘了要做某事(动作未发生)
9、pronounce v. 发……音。n. pronunciation n. 发音
10、 aloud adv. 大声地;出声地
loud adj. 大声的;loudly adv. 大声地
11、 agree v. 同意;赞同 —— disagree 不同意;不赞成
agree with sb. 同意某人的看法 agree to do sth. 同意做某事

1、macth …with…将……和……搭配起来

3、It’s + adj. for sb.+ to do sth. 对某人来说做某事是……
It’s very important for us to learn English well.
It’s + 名词短语 + to do sth. —— 做某事是……的

Welcome “欢迎”,“welcome to + 某地”—— 欢迎来到某地。如果某地是地点副词,则省略to。
Welcome to our class. 欢迎来到我们班。 Welcome back home. 欢迎回家。

Let’s = Let us 让我们 Let’s do sth. 让我们做某事
Let’s __________ (go) and _________ (play) basketball.
try to do sth. 尽力做某事 try not to do sth. 尽量不要做某事
When you read an English article, try _____________ (not translate) every word.
as much as possible —— 尽可能多地
“as + 形容词/副词的原级 + as possible”—— “尽可能地”

Why not do…? = Why don’t you do …? “为什么不做某事?”表示建议去做某事的句型。如:Your shoes are old. Why not buy a new pair? = Why don’t you buy a new pair?

9、What else? 还有其他的吗?
else “其他的;别的”。常放在不定代词(something, anything, somebody, someone等)或疑问词(what, who等)之后做后置定语。
Do you have anything else to do? 你还有别的事做吗?

10、 How about listening to the radio or reading an English newspaper aloud?
How about … ? = What about… ? ——“…… 怎么样?”后接名词,代词或动词-ing。
介词(for, at, about, in, from, before, after, though,on等)后接动词-ing。 Thank you for _____________ (help) me.
11、 You don’t need to understand every word.
need to do sth. 需要做某事 We need ____________ (study) hard.
12、 I think writingis also important. 我想写也很重要。
Writing 是动词-ing,做主语时,谓语动词用第三人称单数。
如:Seeing ________ (be) believing.

1、ask for 请求(给予)
They didn’t need to ask for help.
ask for advice 征求建议
ask sb. for sth. “向某人要某物”。如:He asked his parents for a motorbike.
2、time n. 次;回(可数名词)。 Several times 几次
n. 时间(不可数名词)。Some time 一些时间
3、shy 反义词 outing(外向的)
4、quickly adv. 快地;迅速地。 由形容词变为副词,一般在词尾加ly。
sad — sadly; bad — badly; slow — slowly; happy — happily
5、natural adj. 合理的;合乎常情的。 n. nature 自然
6、suggest v. 建议;提议。后接名词,动词-ing或that + 从句。
n. suggestion 建议
课文重点句型分析:
1、 smile at … 对……微笑(善意的):laugh at … 嘲笑……(恶意)
2、 Send your questions to Diana.
Send sth. to sb. 发送某物给某人 write to … 给某人写信
3、 … how to improve their English.
“疑问词 + 动词不定式”,可做宾语或主语。
I don’t know where to sit.

4、 Like doing sth. 相当于 enjoy doing sth. 喜欢做某事
I like playing basketball, but I don’t enjoy _________ (play) football.
A good/great way to do sth. 做某事的好方法

5、 Each time you will learn something new.
something new 一些新的东西 “不定代词 + 形容词”,形容词放在不定代词之后做后置定语。Something important anything else

6、 The first question / the second question / the third question 第一二三个问题。
one 序数词 first;two — second;three — third
7、 I am shy and I am afraid to speak to her.
be afraid to do sth. 害怕做某事 be afraid of sth. 害怕某人或某物
8、 be good at 在……做得好;擅长……。Be good for 对……有好处
