4、The Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn is a very important Chinese festival. It falls on the 15th day of August. A few days before the festival, everyone in the family will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front of the house.

On the evening there will be a big family dinner. People who work far away from their homes will try to come back for the union. After dinner, people will light the lanterns which are usually red and round. Children will play with their own toy lanterns happily.

At night the moon is usually round and bright. People can enjoy the moon while eating moon-cakes which are the special food for this festival. They can look back on the past and look forward to the future together.

the sunset is very beautiful and lovely. Its scene is as wonderful as a sunrise but it is even more beautiful to watch it in the country than in the city. When the sun begins to set behind the mountains, its long rays light up the GREen fields. the clouds in the sky also begin to glow with a golden light, and the mountains are really colourful.

When the sun begins to set behind the mountain, it looks like a red ball. Its light fills the sky and changes the colour of the clouds from gold to red. When the sun is gone altogether behind the mountain, the clouds turn GREy and the mountains become black.

then you cannot help admiring the wonder of nature.

My fiat is made up of eight rooms :one hall, one bathroom,one kitchen,one dining room,one living room, two bedrooms and one toilet.The hall faces the front door. When you come into my flat,you will first see the hall.The bathroom is on the right,and the toilet is on the left.In front of you,there are two doors.The left one leads to one of the bedrooms,and the right one leads to the living room.When you come into the living room, you will see two doors again.The left one leads to another bedroom,and the right one to the kitchen.The kitchen goes straight to the dining room.Besides,there is also a balcony next to the living room and one of the bedrooms.

gardens and good factories here. It is very easy to go shopping. You can see green hills, big trees and nice flowers. There are many restaurants in Haimen. You can enjoy Haimen goat. It tastes very delicious. Many visitors come here to enjoy it.

There are many good places to visit. There is a park and a big Shopping Mall. You can see films in Renmin Theatre. My school is one of the best schools in my hometown. It is on Chang jiang Road. It is very beautiful. I hope you can come and visit soon.

On the afternoon of November 18, we had the opening ceremony of the Fourth Dongzhou Middle School Sports Festival. Each class gave a wonderful performance. The next day, we had an exciting sports meeting. Many players were in it. All the others just watched them. Some were busy writing articles about it. The boys and girls 1500 metres races were the most exciting games. The relay races were exciting, too. Everyone cheered for the competitions. They did their best. When they scored for their own class, everyone was so excited that they jumped to their feet. The sports meeting didn’t end until four in the afternoon. We were tired but we were so happy.

10、Grass【草】

It’s the time of spring, but spring hasn’t come yet. The wind is still so cold, without even a little warmth.

What does spring mean? I walk slowly on the way. I don’t expect any plant can grow in such a cold spring. Suddenly, something on the rode side attracts my attention. I take a closer look at it. I find a grass. I say to myself: In such a cold spring, you see grass and you see hope. I always think grass is puny. But, it’s at that moment when I saw the weak but green grass beside the rode that I realize how strong life is.

There’re always many difficulties in our life too. They are like the cold spring. We should never fear them. If we do our best, we can overcome the difficulties.

When I take another look at the grass, it seems much greener……

译：下学期怎样学好英语

First, I listen to the teacher and make notes carefully in class. I revise my old lessons and prepare my new lessons after class.

Second, I like speaking English with my classmates, not only in

classroom, but also on the playground. It's to improve my spoken English. Third, I keep a diary every day to practise my written English.

Besides this, I often read English newspapers or magazines in order to enrich my knowledge on English culture.

I Listen to the teacher carefully and write the important points down on my notebooks. After class I revise the lessons. Before class I prepare new lessons to find out the questions. Then I will listen carefully in class. I also listen to the tape, and speak English with my classmates in the classroom and on the playground. It's to improve my listening and speaking.

③The Spring Festival

Winter vacation is coming .We＇re happy to welcome the holidays. Usually, winter vacation is funny because Spring Festival is during the vacation.

Spring Festival is a excellent day for every Chinese, especially for children. During the festival, relatives go to visit each other and give presents to each other .then it＇s the happy moment for children ,children are given some lucky money.

But i＇m not a child any longer .I want to make the festival a little bit different. I plan to have a different day. I＇m going to sell some toys in the flower market.I will ask my friends to join me.
