Self Evaluation

I’ve got a wonderful chance to study at SISU, this further study at Shanghai International Studies University gives my future teaching an instructive opinion, which can lead to a successful teaching outcome.Through this training, I found myself improved a lot. I’ve learned some new theories and mastered some techniques which can be used in my future teaching. In the future, I will use what I’ve learned here in my teaching and try to make my teaching become more advanced than before.

Interest is the first thing in English learning. Students’ improvement in English learning is limited by their interests in English. As we all know, “Interest is the best teacher”, it is a big stimulus for learning. If one is interested in what he is going to learn, he will be stick to it, enjoy it and even love it. The professors at SISU give me a very deep impression that they will stimulate and broaden us as much as possible.

In my future class, I will try my best to make students become leading role in class and let them join in the class actively. The contents teachers taught should have close relationship with the material they just learned and the real-life situation, the procedure was very clear. The drills for students should be proper and enough as well as various in forms. Four aspects of “Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing”ability should be considered. In addition, Teachers’ should respect the different opinions

of students, appreciate their creative ability. Once students have a few new ideas and discoveries, teachers should praise them, encourage them and let them see their own value, that is to say, teachers should notice their desire for success. When students give a right answer, teachers should praise them frequently. Only in this way, students can taste the sense of happiness and achievement, as a result, they will become more motivated and more interested in learning English.

In conclusion, the training courses here push me in a higher level and make my English better than before. The experience here will be the most unforgettable and rewarding one in my life. I am very sure that after I’ve accepted these training courses, I will be more confident while I standing before my students. I’ll devote myself to the educational course of China.
