F: Earth Hour is a worldwide event organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and held towards the end of March annually, encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.

S: Based on an idea successfully executed in Thailand in 2005, it was pioneered by WWF Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, and achieved worldwide participation in 2008.

摘要】新闻英语中常见的新闻体裁主要可分为三类:消息、特写和新闻评论。消息是以简要的文字迅速报道新闻事实的一种体裁,是最广泛、最经常采用的新闻体裁。消息通常由三个部分构成,即标题(title)、导语(lead)和正文(body)。

其中,导语是消息区别于其他文体的重要标志。导语是消息文本的开头部分。它和一般文体的开头部分有所不同,并不用来介绍事由、缘起,也并不只是起一种引导作用。消息的导语,从形式上看,它一般是消息的第一段或开头几段;从内容上看,它必须对新闻事实(事件)用言简意赅的语言加以概括;从功能上看,它必须对新闻事实(事件)进行浓缩、提炼,展示最新鲜、最重要、最吸引人的部分,对受众形成看一眼就被吸引住的力量。美国的沃尔特?福克斯在《新闻写作》一书中指出:“一条奏效的导语应实实在在地吸引读者的注意力,并将其导向记者认为是新闻的基本点或报道角度的地方。”简而言之,导语是消息的核心所在,是新闻的眼睛,导语写得好坏,直接关系到新闻的宣传效果。西方记者十分注重导语的作用,视其为消息的精髓,也是显示记者文采的橱窗。新闻英语导语的特点一条好的导语应具备哪些特点呢?概括起来说,它主要表现在以下三个方面:简洁(succinct)。

In July in the last year,I finished my graduate project with flying colors,which was a software application about Image Process .
