L'objectif du discours argumentatif consiste à propos d'un thème (un sujet) de soutenir une thèse (un point de vue, une opinion) qui réponde à une problématique1. Il faut convaincre un adversaire, soit pour modifier son opinion ou son jugement, soit pour l'inciter à agir.

Quelques exemples pour mieux faire comprendre ces notions :

Un thème est un sujet de discussion plus ou moins précis, délimité : le tabac, les usages du tabac, les usages sociaux du tabac, les méfaits du tabac, tabac et drogue, tabac et addiction... 1. Le mémoire-compilation 基础研究型论文

基础研究型论文一般是对已有的文学、语言、历史等作品或问题进行研究，进行分析评论或赏析。

2. Le mémoire-recherche 实用研究型论文

研究型论文涉及的主题必须是尚且无人研究的或是研究还不深入的。写这样的论文要求我们进行实地考察或实践探究出结论。这种类型的论文的实用性较强，得出的结论要具有真实和科学性，具有实用价值。
